When it comes to chicken pot, you must have heard of the one in Tsuen Wan that has the same name. However, today I am going to review on the one in Hung Hom instead. My friends and I got there around 7pm and we could already see people lining up or sitting on stools waiting for tables.(Reservations strongly recommended but that only applies to big group of people) After we sat down, we ordered one whole chicken and chose a little bit spicy for the stew(sorry but I really cannot take too much heat). The best part of chicken pot is that they use every single part of the chicken(though most westerners do not prefer chicken with bones…) As expected, the chicken was very tasty with the sauce. It was very smooth and perfectly cooked. However I had to point out that it was still too hot for me. So all those who cannot have spicy food — beware! After that, soup was added to dilute the sause and we ordered the cripsy fish skin, lots of lots of veggies(to make myself feel better); and if you have an adventruous heart — go for the chicken balls. Yup, literally the chicken balls with a chewy and rubbery texture.(urgh…) Anyway, we enojoyed ourselves very much and that only cost us around HKD$ 200 per person. However, can I say that the air-conditioning here is clearly not strong enough… we felt like we went to a gym… but all in all, the food was good and we will come again!
