Tsuyaken

Just back from a very nice lunch that I’ve enjoyed every bit of it. Although it’s just a brief lunch, the personal touch has made it an experience.
There are a few teppanyaki sets for lunch, also other hot food sets. We have chosen the teppanyaki set for 2. The set got everything — cod fish, abalone (very huge), steam egg, foie gras, a steak, fried veggie, friend rice, ice cream… Instead of just sear cook them, they are all served quite uniquely. The cod fish, after searing, was served in a very yummy green sauce. The huge abalone was a dancing one, served in a sauce which I thought as the internal organ of the abalone but instead it made of sea urchin! No wonder it’s so tasty. They continue to surprise me with an off-​menu bonus steam egg, with caviar and foie gras (wow!). What else? The foie gras was very nice too, crispy outside and soft inside. The steak and the rest were very nice too.
The chef was very nice and chit chat with us throughout the lunch. As this is my first time here, he showed me the fire trick that he showed my friends the other day. And for two of our friends who ordered normal set lunch he additionally made 2 teppanyaki red bean pancakes for them, garnished nicely with figs and fruits.
I know that the chef has paid every attention to his customer when he handed us the business card and asked me to bring my husband to come try again, while asking my friend (who has been very quiet during lunch) to bring more friends next time. I think this is the personal touch that could not be found in other tappanyaki restaurant.
