Winner every time. I’ve had their sandwiches, quiches, breads and love it all. The sandwiches often sell out and though they are messy to eat, they are well worth the embarrassment. The chicken with guac, and langoustine are the best. The smoked salmon quiche is one of the best I’ve ever had as it is flavoured generously with mustard. The croissants are wonderful and has a variety of flavours which are all great(cheese, brulée: yuum). They used to have an olive and cheese bread that was delish. I hope to try their super fancy cakes and cream puffs soon!

They make amazing breads! I tried their Molten egg yolk custard croissant. I had in mind a bland egg yolk inside a croissant, but the filling was sweet and creamy. It’s heavenly good! I was so happy that I choose this. I also bought a chestnut danish bread loaf. It’s like a croissant bread. I liked it so much that I ate everything in two meals. :P This is definitely my favorite bakery! Then I went back and tried their mushroom pizza. Which I also enjoyed. I also had the rosemary garlic focaccia. But I think it would be better warm from the oven. Otherwise, it’s nothing special.

Urban Bakery is a self-proclaimed croissant ‘lab and playground’, that is constantly working to create unique, creative edible works of art. Just a quick glance at their impressive display case is enough to prove the point — shelf after shelf of uniquely made croissants, ranging from crème brûlée, pineapple butter, or eggnog-filled, as far as the eye can see. Our favorites were, hands down: + MOLTENLAVACROISSANT + HAIRYCRABCROISSANTWICH w/CAVIAR Seriously, mind blown. We took the lava croissant to go, and even at room temperature several hours later, it was absolute heaven. This location is a little tricky to find, but basically you want to head to the basement of Hysan Place, and you’ll find it tucked in the back of Jason’s Supermarket. Well worth the trek!

This Urban is located INSIDE of the Jason’s Supermarket in the Basement level of Hysan place. It’s tricky to find so once you find Jason’s you’re on the right track. I haven’t tasted anything in this location, but I had to write the above to help other people like me who is still not used to how shops are built UP or DOWN and inside other shops in HK city. =). I will be updating soon!

4⁄5 stars! OMG – another place I came back twice within 9 days of my trip. Please note this is at the bottom floor of the Hysan Place – inside the grocery store, called Jason. MUSTGETTHECROISSANT!!! SO fresh and crispy! I picked both the custard croissant and almond glazed croissant. SOOOGOOD! I also purchased the ham and egg pastry, but it was JUSTOK. Bottomline: Just come here for the croissant!(about $ 1.50-$ 2.00/pastry)

Good hideout and a break from Landmark shopping on the 3rd floor. Great view of the court yard with unique croissant to boot. Give this a try when simply life downstairs is full!

the BEST! croissant I’ve ever had! OMG everything about the croissant is amazing. Its really light and fluffy, it doesn’t feel fatten at all. I had the croissant brulee hkd $ 11 and it was so crispy! after that i saw that they sold croisandwich hkd $ 38, I went back to get the double ham cheese sandwich. To be honest I never actually liked brie, but they had ham and proscuitto to balance out the flavor so it was good. But next time I would actually ask them to leave the brie cheese out. Thanks to my friend who recommended this place to me! because next time when I am back in Hong Kong this will be one of my to go spots. top 10 *for all the cheese lover, it was a huge slice of brie cheese.
