I came here around 3pm on a Sunday and there weren’t many people. I got the piccolo and one of their all day breakfast. The coffee was not bad but the food was just mediocre.(Something you could make at home) But the staff were very friendly and attentive.

I had only a latte here because I was already so full from my coffee run around town, but it was amazing. It was smooth and rich, yet not bitter or overly-sweet in any way. Came in a fairly large-sized cup. I really liked how the café was on a quieter street, so there weren’t a lot of people. If you are looking for an outdoor meal with friends, however, that wouldn’t be really possible, since outdoor seating is limited. Inside, it’s a great environment for quiet work or a low-key meal. There are a lot of magazines inside the café to read if you wish.

Con Artist — went there for lunch. Ordered a dish from their menu today. The dish that arrived was completely different from what I expected. Asked them why — «sorry, there are typos in the menu. We will fix that». Fine. The dish is ok, nothing exciting. Asked for the bill, told the waitress that I have the entertainer coupon — «the entertainer coupon is for the main menu only!» «Was I not reading the main menu just now» «No, the main menu is after 6pm» Well played. But I am not coming again.

Think it’s a bit overrated as the waffles which I’ve ordered is not too special. For the waffler’s FC, the chicken is a bit too hard. The salty waffle is okay. For the Pear down cheese up waffle with a sausage, the interesting mix of sweet pear with salty melted cheese doesn’t actually that perfect to be placed in a stack. The lemon ginger mulled apple juice is good tho, warm and sweet. The waffle could be a bit hotter as it’s a bit weird not having it very warm and crispy when served.

I only had the coffee here but that was enough! A few things make me want to support this place. 1-they are not Starbucks or pacific coffee. 2– they have unlimited free wifi when the previously mentioned huge corporations only give you half an hr! For shame! They also have a large collection of recent magazines for your reading pleasure. Oh and my latte was great.

Waffle is becoming a big hit in Hong Kong! Not only do we have our local Hong Kong style waffle but also waffle from Belgium, Taiwan, Japan, etc. So, how can a waffle shop stand out from the crowd? Waffling Beans, a café specializes in hand-drip coffee and waffles opened in Kennedy Town in May. My first thought was — «Oh, another waffle place? I doubt how good can it be.» However, it was actually pretty good! Waffling Beans serves all day dining from lunch until late, so basically waffles all day long. To be honest, I have never taken waffle as a proper meal, it’s more like a dessert or munchies to me. How does all day dining work with serving waffle? At Waffling Beans, they pair waffles with mains like ribs, meatballs and fried chicken. Normally we have sides, like fries or baked potato with mains but here you get more! A main goes with a waffle and two sides of your choice, how satisfying is this? Apart from their main meal options, I especially like their«In Between» waffles, such as Pear-Up. Double-Cheese Down with pear, sautéed red onion, melted cheese, drizzled with maple-balsamic glaze and The Wild Child with pear, gorgonzola, cinnamon and local wildflower honey. They feature an interesting combination of sweet and savory flavors, which is surprisingly good! I’m sure Waffling Beans will soon be another hit in Kennedy Town, you may want to pay a visit before it gets crazily crowded!
