I love Zara but I hate this location and the people that work here. I had the most horrible experience a customer can have. Zara had a huge sale and I grabbed a large handful of clothes to try on a buy. I went to the fitting rooms and they automatically gave me attitude and made sure they counted every article before I went in. After I came out they sat there and recounted everything again! Okay I know it’s the rules but how they did it made me feel like I was stealing. Then I had to go to the bathroom so bad I gave my sister my clothes to hold and starting walking out. Somehow the door beeped and the lady of course asked me but not anyone else to check my bag. I opened it and there was nothing of course. I can back to pay for everything and while I was walking out the door that same lady followed me again and made the door beep to check my bags! I told her HELLNO and why are following me. She asked me to then open my purse again and I told her NO again. She got another lady and I told her the this is wrong and insulting. She then just let me go nicely. Ridiculous.

Most days of the weeks I am sporting something from Zara. Occasionally, it’s all from Zara. I visit this IFC store the most although a new branch has just opened on Queens Road Central so we will have to see how long my loyalty to this outlet lasts. The shop is divided into three sections — kid’s, women’s and men’s clothing. Personally I don’t like how Zara cut their men’s clothes but I cannot get enough of the women’s. The stock is replenished and updated regularly so that you can always snap up something on trend. The cuts are modern and flattering and the materials look expensive even if the price point is very reasonable. In particular, I find their items are perfect for work and own at least four pairs of their capri pants which come out of the washing machine as good as new. White shirts/tops are a staple for me, especially in the Hong Kong heat and Zara does fantastic button downs that are cool, not preppy. My newest purchase is a white blouse with a military style button up collar that hangs like silk. I also adore Zara for their shoes which I find comfortable and affordable at around $ 600 for a pair of heels. I currently have my eye on the baby pink court shoes that have just arrived as well as cute pair of pastel ballet flats. The ballet flats don’t last long to be fair but I wear them to death until I have to throw them out. In fact, Zara is priced in a way that you can consider it disposable fashion even if some items(such as my classic trench coat) will last you for years. The changing room queues can be a bit of a bore but Zara’s returns policy is fantastic so if you can’t be bothered to wait, buy it and try it on at home — you can always return it later.
