Service was hit-n-miss but once we finally got pints and our order in, things moved quickly. They were out of oysters which was a HUGE disappointment as we had heard great things about the local shell fish. Instead we went with the crab legs and catch of the day with chips. Now as you can see in the photo, the crab landed in front of me with a big olé cup of mayonnaise… hmmm … Now normally I don’t dream of steamy crab legs covered in hellmans, but thanks to a few pints I was feeling brave. You will just have to try it yourself if you are feeling dubious, but mix in some fresh lemon juice with that white goop and dip away — that is a tasty mess! Who would have thought crab and mayo? Go figure. Oh and the beer in the pics is not some blonde mess(i don’t like the loaf of bread in a glass) it is Smithwicks ale — pronounced smith-icks — which seems to taste pretty dang good with everything.
