On a Wolftrek ride, we’ll tell you about the history of the Irish horse in sport, transport, farming and war, all told by our qualified guide during the trek. As you ride along, we have short breaks at «stop stations» where we use our horses elaborate props and large historic posters are used to illustrate this dramatic story.
We are located in County Wicklow near the town of Blessington, 30 km (45mins) from Dublin on the main road to Glendalough,(which has a frequent public bus service from Dublin city centre).

Meet the Business Owner
Ronan W.
Business Owner
Hi, I’m Ronan and it’s my pleasure to be your guide during our Wolftrek. We named the business after the last wolf in Ireland that became extinct in 1786, this was the golden age of the Irish horse. Back then, the horse used for everything from warfare to pulling ploughs, we want to tell you this story. We’ve research some of the hidden and forgotten history of the noble horse in Ireland. Hear how some old traditions still echo through to our modern world; for example how the horse dictates the way we drive our cars!
