B-Secure Alarms

We had just finished a long visit with an aged rellie and were happily on our way home for a little sustenance and to enjoy what was left of our Saturday afternoon… what is it about Saturday afternoons that makes them disappear in the blink of an eye? You won’t catch Monday afternoons doing that.
We were leaving the gated estate, car running, magic code input into the panel, waiting for the gate to do what it usually does… open.
But no opening was forthcoming, I immediately saw my afternoon disappear in a fog of emergency calls and long unexpected car waits.
A bunch of girls ahead of us tried to force the gate, they failed to make any headway.
«Allow me ladies» I said, sauntering up to the gate in a manly fashion, strutting my various stuffs, making sure all eyes were upon me for my moment of greatness. I had also ensured I had a new pen my pocket, ready to go at a moments notice should any one require an autograph or my phone number later.
I squared up to the gate, grabbed it with both hands, waited for the sun to hit me at just the right angle, and pushed.
Nope, couldn’t even budge the bloody thing.
Luckily wife had seen the b-​secure label on the gate and called them. In less than 1 min the guy (who answered immediately, was smart, fast and courteous) had talked us through over riding the system and we were on our way. The way the guy on the phone dealt with us impressed us greatly.
Saturday afternoon saved!
