Oh man, the chicken goujons here are KILLER. The bar also serves up delicious fish and one hell of a roast. Compared to the restaurant, it’s dirt cheap. Well, everything is cheap compared to the restaurant. The prices are typical for an Irish pub setting; 10 – 12EUR per entrees and mains. The aformentioned goujons were 9.95EUR with chips and a deceptively small yet amazingly tasty salad. There’s not much seating but it’s charming, despite being in the basement.

In the basement of the Cashel Palace Hotel, this pub doesn’t live up to the grand surroundings. It is small and generally inoffensive, but the food was tiny and simplistic — bordering on pathetic. A € 7 toasted sandwich was literally a piece of ham between two slices of regular white bread. I left hungry. The Guiness was good though.
