Was staying at the Castlemathyr resort close by and decided to pop in here on my way home for a some lunch and it was the right choice to have made. The bar itself is a typical irish village bar with warm hospitality and as it’s Pat Shortts bar the obligatory picture or two along with some d’unbelievables keep sakes. Quite an extensive menu for a village bar and all the ingredients are sourced locally. I had the Chicken Goujons and my partner had the Ploughman’s platter. The portion sizes where more than generous but more importantly both tasty great. Would defiantly go back and pop in for either a drink or food next time I’m in the area.

Lovely local in lovely Castlemartyr. And yes, it’s THE Pat Shortt’s bar!
