Finding a place to eat on near Achill Head around middle to late October is an absolute nightmare. Everything is closed for the season or if they’re open they’re only open from 6 – 9 or something ridiculous.
However, the Beehive was still open, and open for breakfast and lunch! Though there isn’t much for vegetarians, what they do have is quite good. My husband and I ended up stopping here a few times, and we enjoyed it every time.
It’s a unique café because the tables are in amongst the shop merchandise that The Beehive has to offer (but not too close). You can sit outside or inside, and the tables are all by the window so you can enjoy natural light while you dine. It’s fun to dine and then browse for unique gifts.
