History
Established in 1992.
Tony and Michele Morgan established «The Stationery Corner» in 1992. When the lease expired in 1998 they purchased their current shop «Liptons». As they found out the building is steeped in history. It was origionally a depot for the Lipton organisatgion owned by Sir Thomas Lipton of Lipton Tea fame (his parents originated from just outside Clones on the Fermangah border).
Liptons has carried on the Lipton tradition of offering fantastic value for money with our motto being «Liptons, Clones, So much more for less, with no compromise on quality»

Business Owner
Chequered history. 1980: Dunnes stores for 2 weeks and then worked for Penneys until 1984. Opened stall in Even Stevens on Capel Street and then moved up to Thomas Street Bazaar briefly (paid hefty deposit which left me with no working capital — a valuable lesson). Went to work in Seapoint in Galway for the summer of 1985 and then took over the shop for a few months after that until Seapoint lost its gaming licence. Moved to Watford Herts and worked on the building Sites for Six months (Saw John Barnes score 2 against Liverpool). Worked with British Rail until 1991 when we moved back and opened The Stationery Corner in 1992
