I wouldn’t usually be reviewing a butcher shop, but this one deserves a special mention! As soon as you walk in you will notice something different about this place. Hats off to the guy who works here, who is dressed up to the nines in traditional butcher’s costume — stripey red and white cap included. It’s almost like walking into one of those trad candy stores… it’s quite a special experience being served by someone who cares so much about his profession that he dresses up every day! Then you have the store itself. it’s like stepping back into the 70s… brownish tiles and very retro interior which probably hasn’t been modernised since it was built. Very cool indeed. And then when you go to pay, the butcher has a special accounting room he goes into to collect your change. With all this old world charm how could you possibly do your meat shopping at a clinical supermarket?!?
