Worst massage ever.
Had a groupon for a 1-​hour massage and decided to treat myself during my week’s holidays. When I rang to make the appointment the man took ages to answer the phone and when he eventually did he said that he usually didn’t answer calls from UK numbers because they were usually annoying sales calls!!!
Anyway, went along for the massage and the building, both inside and outside, is a little cold, run-​down and dodgy looking. I really didn’t feel comfortable and this wasn’t helped when I realised that the man was doing the massage. It’s never happened before that I’ve not been advised in advance that the massage was being done by a man. I’m usually quite laid back about this kind of thing but as I was already a little uncomfortable with the surroundings I asked if it was possible for a female to do it since there didn’t appear to be anyone else in the building. He acted surprised that I’d even asked and said that no one would be available to next week but that he could reschedule if I wanted. I wasn’t going to be around Cork again for a while so decided to go ahead with it. It was a terrible massage, over in 45 minutes, not relaxing at all and I certainly won’t be returning. Avoid.
