Lancaster Lodge

Decent hotel not quite in the heart of everything, but within reasonable walking distance. Room was quiet and had a view of the river. Parking is usually available and staff was pleasant.

It was absolute luck that we landed here while in Cork. The staff is great, free onsite parking (a major point in my book), walking distance to stores, restaurants and bus stops. and other spots. Breakfast in the morning for a nominal charge, although no other meals are served tea/​coffee is available in the room. The windows do open, but I suggest you also ask for a fan to help keep the air moving. If/​when I return to Cork this is where I want to stay — what more can I say?

This was my second stay at the Lancaster Lodge, the first being well over six years ago. It seemed less boutique on this visit. If anything it reminded me of a Premier Inn, which is probably because of the colour scheme — purple. But over all it was a good one night stay in Cork.

The two ladies we dealt with at reception were both very nice. I had emailed a few days ahead to see if we needed to reserve a parking space and if our room would have a bath. We didn’t and it did — or rather the email responder said she would allocate us a room with a bath — how nice.
The room was nice. Clean, but a tad chilly. The sheets were crisp. The bathroom was nice and very clean. The water was excellent, high pressure heaven.
For 88 EUR it was grand. This was the best price I could get and it was from their own website.

On my first trip to Ireland (one of many to follow!) my cousin & I stayed here. Great price (amazing breakfast!) and excellent location. Thanks again!

Die Lancaster Lodge liegt nur wenige Meter außerhalb des Zemtrums. Beim Blick aus dem Fenster besitzt man die Möglichkeit ohne großen Aufwand gleich ein Guiness zu trinken.
Das Zentrum ist nur wenige Hundert Meter weg und beginnt mit dem Washington Inn Pub in dem ab Donnerstag sehr viel los ist. Gegenüber liegen die ersten Discos auch. Allgemein eine Top lage um eine party Tour oder einen Entspannten Abend zu starten.
Das Hotel ist ein Normales Hotel das in seinen Zimmern sich nicht unbedingt hervorhebt.
Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr sehr zu empfehlen. Während meiner 6 Aufenthalte in Irland gab es die beste Auswahl hier grins ohne auf den Black Pudding zu stoßen und das al hergebrachte Englishe Frühstück.
Viel Spass in der Lancaster Lodge

Had a fairly pleasant stay here. It’s in a good location, the breakfast was only mildly bland (which is a bonus considering that it’s made in ireland), and there are plenty of teas and coffees in the rooms + yummy biscuits! (although if you ask me biscuits should be standard in any hotel room… after all… what are we paying them for?). The service was satisfactory. The only gripes would be that the beds, pillows particularly, were very hard and uncomfortable, and throughout the duration of my stay the TV signal was very unreliable… particularly when neighbours was supposed to be on.
I probably would have held more positive memories had Cork as a whole been a little more interesting, a lot warmer, and had I not had to endure listening to my entirely cretinous sister witter on incessantly.
