History
Established in 1937.
Moriarty’s barbershop was founded in 1937 on what was then the business hub of the city, Merchant’s quay. Peter Moriarty worked here employing his brother Mike and another full time barber. When of age his son Michael, now known as ‘The Baldy Barber’, learned and honed his trade here.
In 1960, Peter opened a shop in the suburb of Blackpool where the young Michael ran and built up the business we know today.
Now the Baldy Barber, has become a Cork Legend in his own right.
Our first class, friendly service and over 77 years combined experience in the shop means that customers can expect only the best.
