Irish Travel and Tourism Responsible Accommodation of the Year 2014. Doolin Hostel /Budget B&B and Coffee Shop in the center of Doolin, over looking the village and out to sea. We are at the start of the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Hiking Trail, and closest hostel to the Cliffs of Moher. We are 100m to O’Connors Pub famous for traditional Irish music, and a 15 minute walk to Doolin Pier for ferries to the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher Cruises.
We cater for families with rooms for families of up to 2 adults + 4 children, individual explorers and outdoor pursuit groups, who wish to tour the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and North Clare, as well as those who like to part take in activities such as Caving, Surfing, Horse Riding, Sea Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Cycling and Hiking.
We can cater for groups up to 85 persons, and can provide group meals as well as packed lunches. We do not cater for Stag, Hen or similar celebration parties.
Our Café «Cliff Coast Coffee» serves great coffee, home baking, Pizza, Bagels, Packed lunches for picnics on the Cliffs of Moher, Irish Craft beers and Wine.
We are also the local bus stop and ticket office for all Bus Eireann buses to Doolin.
History
Established in 1983.
The first hostel in the west of Ireland 31 years ago, the first register and approved hostel in Ireland (formerly Paddys Doolin Hostel) and now the first Gold Awarded Hostel in Ireland for Environmental Practices with Green Hospitality Awards in 2014 and the first Gold Level Award with TripAdvisor Green Leader Program.
Started by Paddy and Josephine Moloney in 1983 and taken over by Son Anthony and wife Deirdre who returned home in February 2014 after many years managing hotels in Ireland and internationally. Doolin Hostel has undergone major renovations since there return with the addition of superior rooms, café and other services. With more improvements and renovations scheduled for the months and years ahead.
Doolin hostel strives to improve every day with an a concious effort to minimise its impact on its beautiful local environment. While improving service and comfort for its guests. Doolin Hostel is also member of the Burren Eco Tourism Network.

Business Owner
Returning home with wife Deirdre in February 2012 to take over the family business of 30 years. Anthony a graduate of Shannon College of International Hotel Management and Deirdre have managed and worked in many hotels internationally and in Ireland.
We have a strong believe in customer service and improving our business a little everyday. Since taking over the hostel 2 years ago we have achieve awards of excellence from tripadvisor in 2013 and 2014, Gold for Green Leader with Tripadvisor (1st hostel in Ireland), Most Booked Accommodation in 2013 by Booking.com Customers in Doolin. 1st Gold Award for a Hostel in Ireland with Green Hospitality Awards (EPA recognized) and are active members for the Burren Eco Tourism network which is apart of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark.
We have a love for the business and like doing simple things consistently well, such as focusing on a great coffee of coffee, home baked scones, using quality local produce in our coffee shop.
