Henna by Orla creates custom henna designs on your skin using natural henna paste — a blend of natural henna powder, essential oils, lemon juice and sugar. The paste dries on your skin and leaves a stain, which develops over three days from a bright orange to a deep brown, which lasts for up to two weeks.

All henna tattoos are individualised — you may bring a template of a design you like that we can adapt to the area of skin, or we can create an original design just for you. Ideal for a special occasion, or to try out permanent tattoo ideas.

History

Established in 2014.

I began exploring henna art last year after witnessing its popularity in California, USA.

Henna is a beautiful art form whose origins begin in India and the Middle East over 5000 years ago. «Mehndi,» as it is known, is a symbol of good health, beauty, femininity, and inner radiance. In India, it is traditionally used for weddings and other ceremonies, being thought to attract positive energy, promote fertility, and ward off evil.

Today it has been adopted by Western culture as a popular body art.
