History

Established in 2012.

Active Mum was created in 2012 when I became pregnant with my son, Jonathan.

Teaching classes to mums and babies seemed the perfect fit with my background in psychology, women’s studies, dance and fitness.

I wanted to create classes for mums where babies are not just ‘allowed’ but are an integral part of the class, to give the opportunity for spending quality time with baby at the same time as learning a new skill/getting fit and having fun.

I trained as a baby massage instructor while I was pregnant and enjoyed the massage with my son, so I have experienced baby massage both as a parent and an instructor. I love teaching the classes and seeing the mums gain confidence in massaging their babies and also getting support from the oth
