A really nice place just around the corner from where I live. It really feels peacefull when sitting here in summer, reading a book or spending your lunch break. And it even featured as a special venue for a play on the basin on last year’s Fringe Festival.
It does get a bit bleak in Winter though, and you really get the feeling of an abandoned basin of a defunctional arm of the Royal Canal.

A hidden oasis in the North Inner city. Only a 10 minute walk from O’Connell St and you can breath freely away from the masses.
It really is a lovely place to go for a stroll. There are plenty of seats around the basin and it feels peaceful and is a great place to read a book on a sunny day but Ssshhh, It’s a secret!!!
