Burger King

BK is alright. I don’t go there if I have a choice. Its open late and the food is predictable and consistent.

Nothing like American fast food in Ireland.
Pro — when your drunken friend, who also happens to be from Canada and new to the country, rings you to advise he is lost (and it’s 4am) [and directionally impaired to boot], and he’s drunk and cannot even read the street signs but manages to ring you 15 minutes later and advise [in an Italian accent] that he is «At Burger King» as you venture out to find him, you tell him to stay put. Then analyze the situation… he is on the south side as he was at Coppers. Baggot is out of the way really.
I pick Grafton and hussle there. If I’m wrong he has probably somehow ended up at O’Connell [insert cursing over why he did not call a taxi]. Find him there.
Next steps: order onion rings and quickly eat (in fairness, i was also on the piss something mad that night), collect friend and carry him home. Remind him of these events when he does not remember the next day.
I’m not a fast fooder in general, but BK at least offered onion rings for a euro and clean bathrooms (handy when shopping).

i definitely took advantage of this burger king on my way to the nightlink. its very close to trinity and all the bus routes and its open really late. there is a lot of competition around when grabbing a late night snack of fast food, but i am a burger king fan. I find the food fills me more than say McDonalds. Even though they dont have any euro menu or euro deals, the food is that much better and they have really good desserts.
I normally use this particular Burger King for grabbing take away, i dont like the seating layout. You order your food downstairs and there are a few high stools where you can eat on the same level, but 99% of the seating is the next floor up. Maybe I am just lazy, but it can be a bit of a pain carrying trays of food up the stairs. At least when your up there you can sit by the window and get a good view of grafton street.
