Best flat white in Dublin. Declan adds to the charm of this little gem. The staff must be choosen very carefully and trained very well — everyone makes you feel so welcome and they never miss saying thanks and good bye.

I had a bit of a bad experience here today. my coffee was tepid and when i brought it to the guy behind the counter, i think he was the manager, he smiled, took the coffee off me and stuck it under the steamer instead of making me a fresh one. :( this really ruined the flavour of the coffee, making it taste a bit burnt. another thing that struck me is that this place used to Munchies but Munchies is no longer there; outside Munchies there was a sign stating café by day, noodles by night. now that it is a different café it seems that in order to save money they simply removed the Munchies sign and left the ‘café by day’ sign and named it just that! so unimaginative… also the café is never full, never even quarter full, it so lacks in personality. i asked if they served little chocolates or coffee biscuits with my € 2.60 white coffee i was told they didn’t serve any and when i joked that maybe i should bring my own i was told that was not allowed! so i had to hide around the corner with my popcorn hidden in my bag for my daughter in case we got barred! i’m going to give this place another try for the pizza so will maybe write an edited review, i haven’t totally wrote this place off.
