This restaurant isn’t Italian. Their menu is mixed with Italian and Greek food, according to my Italian friends. I saw some people said online review that their pizza is the best pizza in Dublin but it is absolutely not, I am afraid. Their pizza is the worst pizza I have ever had in Dublin! Frozen pizza is nicer than theirs. If you have to go there, order pasta instead. DONOTORDERPIZZA.

Café Topolis is more than just a Café. Its a quaint little eatery with beautiful Italian cuisine. Best of all a visit to here wont have the Don’s looking to break down your door when you cant afford the cheque — because its very very well priced! At the weekend you can get a 2 course meal from a good selection during the daytime for € 13.95 including a coffee — its good coffee too. During the weekdays there is a smaller lunch 2 course special for € 8.95. This place is actually a gem. I just got a Carbonara, It was so delicious I accelerated through the whole bowl quicker than a Lamborghini Aventador can dominate the streets of Romes famous Appian Way. At € 12 it quashed the V12 Rumble which had begun to bellow from my stomach and quietened it down to the level of conversation one would expect to receive from Michelangelo’s David. Café Topolis isnt fancy. As much as I managed to mix in a little bit of priceless art and italian supercars into my review this place is quite simply put ‘homely’. Its warm and inviting. The kind of place you break bread with friends or get a decent meal in a relaxing backdrop after a hard days shopping. Thats why im giving it 4 stars. This place doesnt need a 5th one to be special, it just is in its own right. I can even forgive the waitress for dropping the parmesan all over the table… because she done it in such a friendly manner. Grazie :-)

Pizza is good. But if you don’t get the early bird menu it is expensive. Starter _4 chicken wings € 6.95 …

I went here after reading the reviews but I found it was nothing special. The pizza was under the italian standards, too thin and tasteless. The service was very slow, even more considering that the restaurant was almost empty. There are more authentic italian pizza restaurants in Dublin.

One of my favourite pizza spots in Dublin. Always a good crowd and buzz.

Café Topolis is always a safe bet for lunch or dinner. They do good lunch and early bird deals — starter, main & tea/coffee/wine for around 9(lunch) /15(dinner) euro. The pizza is cooked in a fancy wood burning oven and is pretty darn tasty!

Not an italian restaurant at all even if they sell themselves as italian. Food is far awsy from what Italians eat and I also found the quality mediocre. Prices way too high, definitely a nono.

Blink and you could miss this place on a street with numerous eating and drinking options, but it is a quietly lovely spot with a reassuring consistency of food quality and service. On the latter of which, the staff here are really lovely. It feels like a family run business, not sure if it is, but either way, you get that warmth and attention that makes you feel well looked after. And they’re great with kids too. The pizza is great, the kind you get everywhere in Italy, stone baked, thin crust, delicious. Pasta options are great too — the menu is simple and decent and reasonably priced. A reliable spot in the middle of town, just adjacent to Temple Bar and infinitely preferable.

Excellent pasta and wood oven pizza. The Price to food ratio is quite favorable. Second time here with three of my friends.

Nice venue, good atmosphere and a grumpy but efficient waitress for our first meal in Ireland. The food though disappointed slightly. Well — my wife’s pancake main would be something I would go for if I came here again. She enjoyed it and I enjoyed the little portion I was able to filch. My ‘hot’ pizza had the cutest little teeny pepperoni pieces… although I’m not entirely sure they were actually pepperoni. And I didn’t notice any jalapenos, despite them being in the description. So the pizza was ok, but not what I expected and not at all spicy.

Staff not so friendly. Pizzas are huge and are bigger than the plate itself. Cheap Early bird menu(before 6.30pm) available: starter, main course, glass of wine or soft drink and coffee or tea for 14.95 euros I personnally took King prawns in garlic sauce and rice for 16.95euro. This had a really good presentation but there was a very small portion of king prawns and rice. But it was tasty enough.

Ah — the infamous cheap dinner set menu of € 14.95 which has the restaurant booked out most nights. The food was perfectly mediocre — the standard I would have expected at that price but you get what you pay for! Service was very good. We were relegated to the basement as the main floor was full. The décor was stark with bright lights and it was heated by a single small fan heater which was hardly sufficient. Not an atmosphere where you want to linger over your meal… Personally I would pay € 5 more per person to the € 20 set menu price point which will open up an array of better restaurants in the area but if you were to go, make sure to get a table upstairs!

Been here lots of times and the food is always really good. The early bird is great value and comes with a glass of wine and tea or coffee… they used to offer beer but that wasn’t the case this evening. The place was packed and there was, as always, a constant stream of people in and out. Had the chicken wings to start, to be honest not great, they are meant to be in a spicy tomato sauce but the only hit of sauce was that they were red and it was left on my fingers after eating it but what do you expect from an early bird starter. Had a pizza for main, delicious! Pepperoni, rocket and paramesan, the ingredients were fresh and tasty and the Base was thin and crisp. I’ll be back, less than € 30 for two people with starter, main, glass of vino and a coffee. Well worth a visit if you haven’t been.

Delicious Italian foot for a very good money value. Lunch special Monday to Friday starter and main course with tea or coffee 8.95 euros and early bird starter, main course, glass of wine or soft drink and coffee or tea 14.95 euros. Pizza is very good and crispy as it is made in a wood burning stove and the pasta is delicious as well. It has the most complex menu with over 50 choices of dishes including starters, pizzas, pastas, meats and salat and deserts. The wine is very good and the house wine tends to be the best. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a very good atmosphere. I recommend it to everybody!

8.95 for starter and main for lunch? yesssssssssssss please and thank youuuuuuuu… Minestrone soup for starters — warm and hearty and thick yummy… Lasagna for main delicious… filling. very very saucy… it could have come with a little bit of green on the side but maybe that’s how the Italians do it i don’t know… as anytime I go out for Italian i never get a little side salad or anything but if i ordered a lasagna in the pub or something you would always get it… they do half bottles of win which i liked. as a glass is too little. a bottle is too much. comfy inside nice warm welcoming décor and waitress was pretty sound ! ill be back !

Lovely cosy italian restaurant with a proper stone baked oven for the pizza. The early bird is great. My mam always has the chicken stuffed with goats cheese and tomatoes wrapped in parma ham. I love the pizzas the parmesan and rocket one is so tasty. The wings they have are really spicy too! Try the eton mess also so yummy. Nice simple food at great price and the staff are always lovely. I always come back here :)

Overall, good spot for Italian food. Good service and food. The pizza was good but i had better and the desserts were fantastic. I would suggest the place for any one seeking simple traditional Italian food, maybe a romantic dinner, and the candle sticks on tables emphasise this romantic Italian atmosphere.

Topolis is a very nice pizzeria and resturant. If you are looking for a place to eat well, enjoy a warm environment with friendly and kind staff, then Topolis is the place for you! As Italian, I’d say that their pizza is 5⁄10. But considering what the city offer I’d definitely go for a 7⁄10. Tiramisu is delicious! Prices are moderately affordable. Suggested!

Had dinner there the last two nights — while the food was good and quickly brought out, the service was inconsistent. Last night I had excellent service from a warm and friendly waitress. Tonight, I waited almost 15 minutes before anyone came to my table — and just before I was about to get up and leave. The waitress was more businesslike than friendly. One waiter kept bumping into my table as he went by without as much as an «excuse me» or «I’m sorry». Granted, the small restaurant was busy, but I came away with the impression that I didn’t matter. Sometimes that’s all it takes to ruin a meal out. Contrasting this, the food was very good.

Visited here on Saturday, we had no booking and waked in from street to a very busy restaurant, everything smelled great! I’m currently on a vegan Lenten challenge and was happy to see lots of vegetarian options. I went with bruschetta for starter. It arrived with an average side salad that had been drizzled with Caesar dressing, my fault, I didn’t specify the dressing. The bruschetta itself was ok, but had a lot of olives, which were not listed on the menu and I can’t stand, mildly annoying! I ordered the«risotto primavera» — described as seasonal vegetable risotto with tomato sauce. Brocolli, too many mushrooms(for a mushroom-phobe), peppers and onions in a thick, gloopy tomato risotto. Just no. Not sure I would ever go back to be honest, although the pizzas looked great, so perhaps when I’m not an angry vegan anymore il go back and try some!
