This tiny shop is packed to the brim with traditional Irish music, as well as other world music genres. The sales staff I have talked with have been friendly and knowledgeable.
They also have another shop on Westmoreland Street near Fleet Street that seems to do almost exclusively Irish music. I tend to hear the music before I actually see the shop, walking past!

It feels as though someone, the Devil maybe, is knowingly and torturously playing trad music all day and all night in Temple Bar and Claddagh Records are in cahoots with them.
I’m very pleased to discover from Mary C’s review that these guys are a record label and a real deal trad music shop, not just a bad excuse to flog our equivalent of Peruvian pan pipe music to tourists, and as a result I won’t hold it against them. It just ain’t my cup of scald, is all.

Claddagh Records is great because packed into the small shop is so much Irish and traditional Celtic music it could have you jigging for years.
Claddagh Records is also a record label, which explains why they have such a huge inventory of music — because they put out albums themselves. It also means that they are full of information. Let’s say you want a record featuring duets backed by accordion music. They will have no trouble finding you this record.
I also just like the shop because it is cozy and kind of smells like a fireplace. Yay!

Best traditional irish music store in Dublin and quite possibly the world. The staff are friendly and helpful. You’ll find a lot of limited-​run and small solo artist releases here that you might not find anywhere else. For the newcomer and connoisseur alike this is the very best in Traditional Irish Music record selection.

This is Dublin’s Premier traditional music Record Store. I shop in here on a regular basis and you would be surprised who I have bumped into browsing along side me ;-)
They have everything from Téada and Danú to old masters like Joe Cooley and Micheal Colman. If you are looking for any recording of any traditional artist this would be the place to visit. They are also great at advising what records to buy, for the traditional music virgins :-)

I came across this store as I was filling in time before meeting someone. It is full to burtsting with Irish traditional and folk music. The atmosphere of the store is very comfortable and you can become quite absorbed in looking around at the plenty of choice and listening to the quality tracks being played overhead. Prices seemed average for CDs and there were a couple bargains about.
