If you’re a medical student in the area, this is basically the place you go to get your supplies. They’re well stocked for books and basic examination equipment(stethoscopes, reflex hammers, etc) although everything is pretty pricey and you’d be far better off ordering things online for cheaper if you have the time to wait for it to be delivered. Regardless they are good for recommending things to you as they see what people come in and buy all the time, and the location is very handy(right next to the shopping centre). Unfortunately they are not open Sundays which is kind of a bummer given sometimes that’s the only time you have to get in before the Monday morning when class/your rotation begins! However — friendly and helpful staff otherwise, they’re willing to tell you where you could get things cheaper/quicker if you just ask too. For example — once I came in looking for a measuring tape and the guy told me they were out but directed me to a shop nearby where they sell them cheaper as well(and then told me when Clarendon’s next shipment would be).

For a medical supply store, this place isn’t very big. It stocks the books and minor laboratory equipment(gloves, dissection kits, etc) required by the city’s medical schools, but beyond the bare necessities there isn’t much variety. The world of medical literature has created hundreds of books addressing every topic from a dozen different perspectives, but you are likely to find only one or two here. For anything outside the norm you’ll be heading to Amazon. Given the store’s physical size they just can’t support a large inventory. Other than a limited selection, everything else is nice enough. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly.
