This restaurant is part of the unexceptional Mercer Hotel. At lunch time it offers hot food such as pies and stews — all of which are sitting out on a hotplate. The standard is not high, as is to be expected of similar types of restaurant. The price however is a little steep for the quality. In saying that, the fish and chips are perfectly fine, and occasionally the soup can be pretty pleasant and is obviously home made. Don’t make an effort to visit but if you have nowhere else then it’s acceptable.
