The «Irish Night» at the Merry Ploughboy has been voted «Best dinner/entertainment event in Ireland» in 2010, 2012 & 2013 and is priced at 55 euro per person (including 3 course dinner, show and round-trip shuttle transfer).
Passing through the scenic south-side of Dublin, the shuttle will take you to the foothills of the Dublin mountains, to the only pub in Ireland owned and managed by traditional Irish musicians. A great night of Irish music, Irish dancing & fine food is guaranteed.
You MUST BOOK the combined shuttle/dinner & show IN ADVANCE (which can be done online or by phone). The Nassau street pick-up time is 18.40 and the shuttle returns to town after the show finishes at 22.30.
The Nassau Street pick-up is at 18.40 from the «Merry Ploughboy bus stop» opposite the Celtic Note /Kilkenny Design Shop, outside the walls of Trinity. Details of the other city centre pick-up points are available on the pub website.
History
Established in 1988.
As a band, the Merry Ploughboys traditional Irish Music group have provided the best traditional Irish entertainment for visitors to Dublin and locals alike over a period spanning four decades.
The «Merry Ploughboy Irish Music Pub» is named after the band and is the only one of its kind in Ireland, a place where professional performers own and run the venue.
The band takes particular pleasure in welcoming friends, fans and repeat visitors from around the world to their award winning pub at the foothills of the Dublin mountains.
