I spotted a sewing machine at a reasonable-​ish price here and popped in to buy it. Due to a misunderstanding of the price on my part I got a tenner off! I was also given free tailor’s chalk so I guess the nice assistant had no hard feelings about me getting the sewing machine cheaper than ticket price. She also gave me some tips on using it, on saving money on patterns, and pointed out that I could get replacement parts for it from Singer, unlike the cheaper Aldi and Lidl machines. The shop has two levels and has some really nice fabrics as well as yer standard fare. All I have to do now is learn to sew.
