Specialties

Our restaurant has a unique mix of Middle eastern food. This comprises of the two most popular dishes in the Middle East, the vegetarian option, home made fresh crispy Falafel served with Hummus. The non vegetarian dish is a choice of Kebab (chicken or lamb) and our famous Shish kebab, a choice of marinaded Beef, Chicken or Lamb freshly grilled all served with fresh naan bread made to order in our tanoor, prepared in front of our customers.

In addition to all of that, experience the typical middle eastern tradition — try our Shisha (Hookah) which comes in a variety of flavours.

History

Established in 2012.

The story started with two friends from different backgrounds who shared the passion for traditional Mediterranean food from their home country. Iraq has a very varied kitchen, mixing various flavours with tasty fresh ingredients from various middle eastern countries surrounding its location which include Iran, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon and Jordan.

So they opened their restaurant with the idea of offering fresh, hand made food with only the best ingredients, all prepared in front of customers at very reasonable prices.

Been 3 times now and 2 out of 3 visits were really disappointing.
The breakfasts are very bland and seemingly unrelated to the dishes they were named after.
The lunch and dinner menu is confusing. The prices are a mystery for many things. When you order a plate, it’s € 11 and this just includes meat and salad apparently. Paid € 14 each for chips, drink, and meat. It comes with a decent portion of some meats but very little lamb for the money. On the last visit, they had run out of bread so didn’t even get that. Basically, I was given 3 slices of meat and some rice.
I’d opt for Zaytoon or Umi for these prices. Any rundown neighbourhood kabab-​pizza-​taco fusion place has this quality.

This is my 16th city and 4th country of hookah. This place was on point. Great server and awesome hookah. There wasn’t much tending to the hookah (like blowing out the ash or changing coals) but I know what I’m doing so it was fine.

i had kofte kebab (Adana Kebab), which was served with humus, salads and freshly made warm flat bread! yumm!
Defo going back there as i loved their breakfast menu too! must-​try!

Ate there recently and thought it was very average. 1 half of a wrap contained only 2 pieces of lamb. The lamb didn’t taste great either. Staff were fine and the progs on the telly were entertaining.

Waited 2 hours for my meal.
Ordered here through just-​eat. receipt said it would be 45 minutes. After 55 I rang and was told its on the way, didn’t even ask for my details so wondered how’d he know which order was mine. Waited another 20 minutes and when I rang he asked what my order was. Said it will be along shortly. After another 15 minutes I rang and was told it would be 10 – 20 minutes. After 20 minutes I rang again and was told it was with the driver. It arrived 10 minutes later. The driver said he was sorry it was late but didn’t know why, he had only been given the food 15 minutes ago.
Never had to wait so long for an order in my life and had I not payed by card already I would have not given the driver penny.
The meal itself was pretty unsatisfactory

This great little eatery smack bang in temple bar has some tasty choices, the food taste fresher than you’d get from other Kebab places. I went for the chicken special with humus & tabouleh. It came with a side of naan and was just what I needed. They also hire Hookah pipes we were watching a few guys relaxing whilst enjoying theirs in the open window. It would be the perfect spot to see Temple bars wild life at silly hours in the morning. It is a bit pricier than other kebab places but the quality of food is well worth it.

Meh I really wasnt mad on this place and I dont understand why its getting so many good reviews… Maybe ill come back here to try it maybe I was unlucky…
Staff were grand all right but the place itself is a bit of a dump (but im aware its in the process of getting done up now so ill have to come back as I said and see if its improved by much)

My girlfriend and I visited this place with a Groupon voucher for two meals at € 6 each.
The food we got was nice, especially the falafel. The listed menu price for our order was € 13.50 each, which is extremely expensive for what we got. Wouldn’t be bothered going back, with or without a voucher.

It’s good to have a kebab restaurant that has a soul.
The staff is very kind, and the food is great. They have a great selection of falafels (fresh and not dry, which is great), but my all time’s favorite is the chicken kebab, which is perfectly cooked and seasoned.
I want to try the rest of their menu now.

At last a falafel place with a little bit of character — It may not be gastronomy but who decreed that falafels and kebabs had to be eaten in those bleak, impersonal fast food places?
Falafel & Kebab has nice artifacts that take you on a visual journey and suggests authenticity — water pipes, kilims, throws — and make the place feel cosy and intimate. After all, we eat with all our senses! Pity about the cheap chairs and tables, the picture menus which clash with these favourable first impressions and remind you this is ‘fast food’.
Was my falafel wrap delicious? The ingredients were fresh, the bread was homemade before my eyes, and the falafel pieces were crunchy. An overall tasty affair. A little bit like the décor, the wraps send out mixed messages of what might have been. It’s tastier than your usual falafel shop but it could be so much more.
The friendly staff, exotic décor, fast service and above average falafels will have me back again and again and I wish this place the best of luck in making its mark on the Turkish-​themed food market!

Freshly made tasty food, decent price and friendly staff.
I’m not usually a kebab kind of guy but I felt this place was different and didn’t have that typical grimy kebab shop vibe. I gave it a try and I was very happy indeed!
Interior is inviting, friendly and laid back (with shisha pipes available for use). It all seems kind of cool.
Food is prepared fresh (I watched!) and food presentation is quite good for a kebab shop — you even get metal knives and forks and ceramic plates. I’ll upload a pic.
The falafels were lovely and crisp on the outside and pitta bread was freshly baked. The falafel platter cost 8.99euro and comes with fries and coke.
I like this place and I’ll definitely be back soon!

Disclaimer: it was a quick lunch «eat & dash» situation on a rainy Friday afternoon.
I am usually not a big fan of falafels as they can be quite dry but the ones here are crispy outside and fluffy chickpea-​y inside. I must have had crappy ones before! Hummus (hommus??? I never know quite how to spell it) was fresh and very tasty.
They also have shisha pipes which I think could be popular in the evenings.
Friendly owner and very reasonable prices. I’ll be sure to visit again, under less time pressure.

As I walked in the door I was immediately greeted by a friendly man behind the counter. I ordered falafel which was delicious and decently priced. The place had no other customers (it was 5pm on a Tuesday) which may account for the fantastic service but the food alone would make me want to return.
The bright décor and how the sign has Kebab spelt two different ways made me smile.

I went here for a late night kebab, as one is wont to do.
It was quite tasty, but a bit on the small side. My partner in consumption went for a 3 in 1, and it was fairly bad, it had an Indian curry instead of a Chinese curry
Seems they close at midnight though, which is a bit weird for a kebab house.
Give it a look, anyway
