they messed up our order, took forever to delivery it, and by the time it eventually showed up it was cold. All this is saying a lot because all we ordered was a pizza which shouldn’t be that hard.

I was torn between a 2 or a 3 for this one. But based on the fact that I think these dudes are nicer than Dominos and Apache Imma gonna go with a 3. This is really average pizza. I don’t understand how these pizza chains are so popular. No matter whether you order a thin, regular or thick base it seems to be the exact same. You ask for double pepperoni and you get the same as a regular portion. Thin and crispy is doughy and soggy. I live 2 seconds from this place. NOTHING should be soggy. Also, how do these places succeed every single time in making disgusting under cooked potato wedges? It’s an art form to fail at cooking potato wedges. The garlic pizza bread is OK. But nothing amazing. The main reason I order from these guys is because I tend to be hungover and not wanting to leave the house for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings so a pizza is good soakage. They deliver from 12. The meal deals tend to be pretty good value even though the sides are REALLYBAD. Save half of the pizza for later and reheat it in the oven. ALWAYSNICER. I also have a tendency to order ONLY ice cream and Coke from here a couple of hours after I have eaten a Chinese. Yes my diet appears very healthy doesn’t it? I smoke and drink too. I’m a catch really I swear. Any hot Unilocalers out there? Call me. I got the lite cheese option today and I have to say it made the pizza nicer. But again, stodgy pizza base. It is convenient to order from these guys and it’s the best of a bad bunch. But if you want a really good take away pizza head to Di Fontaines or Rays in Temple Bar! [By the way blame Instagram for making my pizza look delicious in this photo. It was great for soakage but not as nice as it looks in the picture]

Four stars for Four Star. Peculiar name aside, this place is decent for a delivery pizza that can easily and cheaply feed 4. Price: Decent value for Dublin City Centre. Quality: The sides are great, the pizza is grand enough, and it’s what you expect for delivery. Service: Timely and polite. My experiences: I have ordered from Four Star probably 15 times at least. I always get the same thing — The Mega Meal Deal for less than 20 Euros including delivery. This would come with three topping large pizza, 2 litres of a drink, garlic bread, chips, and a chicken side. There was a brief time for an extra 2 Euros you could have the crust be stuffed, but that sadly is no longer available at this Four Star. While there is a voucher for this meal, you don’t need it — as it seems to be something they have all the time. For under 20 Euros, you can’t easily beat this and it is delivered too. I recall once this year, when it was simply snowing like mad and the city centre roads were covered in ice… they still delivered without a complaint. It was brilliant, since all the shops had closed early.

four star pizza can be hit or miss in my opinion but they do have some great offers these days. buy any large pizza and get one free, you cannot go wrong with that offer. and they have midweek specials and good lunch deals. I always find you need a couple of people to share the order to make it worthwhile. if the pizza is fresh its really good but when it gets cold or if its left sitting for a while its not the greatest pizza in the world and it does not reheat very well. they also a variety of starters such as chicken dippers and deserts like ben and jerrys ice cream.
