Pro Traveler Tip: if you are staying at a nearby hotel or accommodation, this makes for a nice grocery stop for healthy snacks, water, etc. I was able to pick up grapes, a few protein bars(Nakd and Boost), water and even beef jerky without all the chemicals! Pretty outstanding selection of organic stuff. They have junk food, too — so don’t be worried, if you aren’t a health nut, there are things here for you, too!(cookies, candy, soda, etc). Glad we stumbled across it this evening — open later on a Sunday too, clutch! *yes, definitely pricey.

This has a great selection for city centre grocery store. Very clean. Staff are friendly, it’s in the centre. Worth a call in.

This place really is the pits. I generally try and avoid it but sometimes end up popping in when I’ve forgotten something from fallon & Byrne or somewhere good. Everything here costs at least 50% more than other places, often lower quality and there’s always a big queue with one person serving. Despite the name, their fruit & veg is dire and their ‘deli’ is microwaved rubbish. They definitely present themselves well but they’re just an expensive tesco

I liked this place, it had some great products. It was clean and the food options were grand. What I did not like was the fact that I could not use my Credit card. They could only use the ones with the chip in them. USA has not caught up with the trend of the ship like Canada and most of Europe has now done. I went here a few times. Good prices and some really nice fresh foods. One day I got meat pies to go, they were cooked and delish! It is a good place to visit, the staff was great!

I’ve taken a serious shine to this place as a lunch option, they’re currently running a deal that includes a chicken fillet role, can of coke and a packet of king for 3.99! That’ll win my business every time! They’re also more reasonably priced than the Smithfield franchise. I took off one star because the seating area leaves a bit to be desired space wise and on a cold day like today is Baltic, for the area it’s in this place doesn’t stack up café or eat in wise but as a grab and go lunch there’s very little competition near by!

Normal standard shop. They have an ATM, which charges extra for withdrawal. Nothing much to add.

I only noticed recently, but they appear to have enlarged their fruit and veg section. This is categorically a good thing. Also for any American expats, they seem to have a large and growing section for imported American candy and foodstuffs, they even take requests for imports they don’t have. Definitely one to look at if you are homesick. :)

I know it is just a mini market but I love it none the less. It is always packed with goodies and the staff are friendly. It boasts everything from a small off licence to a fresh fish counter and all the basics in between. Perfect if you missed the supermarket.

Fresh is a neighborhood convenience store with a bit more to offer than your corner SPAR. There’s a decent selection of everything you might need if you’re on the go — and a café area to boot. We typically order our groceries online; but, this is the go-to spot if we have those one-off items we need pretty quickly. There’s also a small ‘salad bar’ for those who want to stop and have a quick bite for lunch or to take back to the office. The only thing I’m not keen about is the back section where the wine is shelved. There’s more often than not a gentleman standing up there guarding the area as if it’s a wine cave in Napa with valuable aged selections. It’s a bit ‘intimidating’ and annoying if you ask me as I don’t think it’s that easy to steal a bottle of Gallo wine. Aside, from that it’s pretty stocked with your staples and whatnot. There’s quite a magazine rack as well. Now, if they carried lactose-free milk, I may give them another star!

Crap management at weekend. Avoid coffee dock sat and sunday — they ignore waiting customers.

For some reason I nearly always start my shopping in Fresh. Its a very nice looking shop, however I never seem to find all the things I am looking for and end up in another shop as well. The layout inside is nice and well maintained until you get to the tills which are frankly ridiculous, everyone has to go down and back past the next person instead of having a run through. All the food does look fresh as the title would indicate, but I think you do pay a bit more for it. There’s quite a selection of wines and beers as well, so a pretty big shop. Almost gave 4 stars but the lack of certain goods(vegetables for instance are limited) and the stupid layout of the tills knocked it back one.

There are certain things I like about Fresh: It usually has my tipple of choice, the choice of meat is good, the self-service deli counter has decent stuff for sandwiches and what-not. But by God they charge you for all that. Also, the hot food counter is vacated by the staff rather early in the day, the self-service deli counter is cleared out too early in the evening and the checkouts are often understaffed. They don’t really do many cut-price deals. Or when they do, their idea of ‘cut-price’ differs a lot from the demographic not earning six-figure salaries. They do have a lot of good, fresh food as you’d expect but there’s just too much that I find myself disappointed by.

I had a horrible experience here. My husband and I picked up a chicken breast, only to bring it home and find it was more than a week and half out of date! We also picked up a loaf of their pre-made garlic bread, and once we got it home we found it covered in mold. Disgusting. I will never be shopping here again — their«fresh, good food» motto is a joke.

Living in the area for the last 3 years I have wandered in here many times for the convenience of it. At least I did until I couldn’t bring myself to do it any more. This place has gone downhill over the years with the selection getting more limited and the fruit and veg getting more stale. For me, the deli counter is an extended version of a Spar or Centra or the likes. On the plus side, in my last few visits to Fresh I made up a fun game for myself–«count the amount of items that are out of date». This almost always includes cheese and, rather worryingly, has included raw meat products.

Fresh I used to think of as a big, fancier spar. And it kinda is with the same pricing style(i.e. not that cheap) but there can be good deals in there. There always seem to be offers on the meat, so I really need to check here first before checking out the other shops on Camden/Wexford street for this Today I was in looking for bran and for split peas, as I got the impression it would be the type of place that would sell these types of products and be cheaper than other shops of the street. But they didn’t. So I went to Liston’s and found them there. Re the deli counter, I got a sandwich here last week for the first time and I wasn’t overly impressed with it… ice burg lettuce, I’ve not had ice burg on my sandwich in a long long time. It would appear I have become a lettuce snob… who knew, I didn’t! Overall its a convenient place for your bits and pieces as you pass by. I wont be getting my lunch here again, but I will be going here to see what meat is on offer(sounds bad: P)

The selection of fruit and veg is small but this not a supermarket on the grand scale. The meat section is very impressive. There also is coffee shop which seems very popular. I did not find the walnuts that I was looking for but I was really impressed with the girl at the check out, she left her station to look for me and when she could not find them she advised me to go to Listons for them. I love customer service like that.

I do like Fresh, especially their deli counter, and the fact that I can always count on fresh avocados for my salads. It’s a grocery on the fancy side and the prices are accordingly, so I would never go here unless I needed to pick up a few things I wouldn’t get in Aldi or Lidl. But I have to warn you. Even though we all know the shopping basked will be more expensive than in the cheap supermarkets, you seriously have to watch out. I came in the other day for green pesto and was supposed to pay € 6.49 for a small box! € 6.49! For rocket-pesto! That’s just bollocks. Even the cashier was embarrassed. I’m still a fan, don’t get me wrong, and the deli counter with both hot and cold meals is convenient on the way home from work and the price for dinner is decent. But for pesto, I’ll definitely go somewhere else in the future.

Fresh is a great grocery that probably has what you’re looking for when you’re on the go. Of course, you’re going to pay for the convenience, but the markup isn’t too outrageous. Where Fresh really excels is in it’s prepared foods section and deli counter. They have pretty delicious sandwiches, salads, even sushi ready to be taken to the sunny counter at the front of the store and scarfed down quickly before you jet back to work. They have an interesting salad-bar type thing with pasta and veggie mixes. The deli counter is pretty awesome actually, and their sandwiches are so much better than a lot of other grocery stores offerings. You can also get hot foods like stir-frys and pastas and that kind of jazz. They have a coffee bar as well, but better to skip that in lieu of other coffee shops on this street.

I’m with the lads on this place, really a great little find and a worthy replacement for the always bland Spar. The place is huge too and can double as a pretty good grocery shop, its a little on the expensive side though. Theres also a pretty good wine section in the back of the shop. The deli as already stated is pretty impressive and they have a sambo or roll deal at the min with a package of tayto, king tayto for you culchies, and a drink for € 4.65.

Up until a few years ago, there was né’ery a Fresh to be seen around the place, but now a few of them have materialised around Dublin. Fresh on Camden St took over the Spar that used to be on the same site. I was wary of this particular changeover, as this particular Spar was renowned for it’s chicken fillet rolls, but lo and behold, Fresh give good roll. And their deli is eye-poppingly varied. They have the normal sandwich fillings, as well as the standard hot food stuff(jambons, lasagne, etc). But then they also sell stir frys and pasta, and all sorts fancy parma ham and proscuttio and some plain weird shit like scotch eggs. They also have a nice little coffee counter where you can sit down and drink your tea or coffee from delph rather than the standard paper cup. There groceries are a teeny bit on the pricey side, but then they are a convernience store rather than a supermarket, do what are you gonna do?
