Asked for a simple non-shaded cut, the barber did it anyway. Unfortunately there are few good barbers, others are not and trained to do a simple hair cut with no exceptions. Stay away from this place!

Wow, this place really suck. What a nasty face I got for both barbers, as I entered and asked if it is ok to come in with a dog… They didn’t care that it was a service dog. Don’t want these people touching my hair.

This was a great experience start to finish. I arrived, with no queue and was welcomed in and offered coffee, my jacket taken and had a seat immediately at half 12 on a monday. My barber was more than happy to give recommendations without being a condescending«expert». He struck a perfect balance between friendly chat and chilled out quiet time. And last but not least, I got a good simple but stylish haircut. I’ll be down again.

The first time I went in, I didn’t balk at the € 15 charge for a dry cut. The little dump I had previously frequented because of its convenience charged € 14. But there was a world of difference between the 2. First off, I like being offered a coffee and it’s generally nice coffee. I also like their attention to detail and checking exactly how you like your hair cut. I did laugh when asked if I wanted my eyebrows tended to as well. It’d be one thing if I had a brow like Scorcese but I don’t so I politely declined. It might be a touch on trhe pricey side but I’d rather have a decent haircut than be scalped like has happened in other places that just want to get your hair cut and herd you out the door.

This is my second review of a barbers and there will be a third tomorrow when i go to one in Rathmines recommended here. This barbers looks nice and was recommended by a friend. Its clean and looks good. I was brought to the little place in the corner when the woman working there came out. Took a long time and she asked me some very strange questions. She asked me had I written to Santa and did I believe in God? She then started massaging the side of my head and talking about stress. I had to go for a drink in the Ferryman after to calm my nerves.;-)Rang all my friends and had a great laugh. I was in for a dry-cut. Why does this happen to me? Fairly pricey too at 15 euro.

This Barber Shop is on the ground level of this new fancy building, the Altro Vito. You all know this building: it was under construction like forever, a glass tower that always seems to be too thin to be true, and at least I was always wondering how in the world ANYBODY could ever want to move in there. Ironically, it was finally finished when the recession already had Ireland in his grip, but never the less I hear that the rent for the top penthouse is in the several thousands region. Anyhow. The Barber shop is «Grand», like the name says. The team is friendly and last time I went there(a friday evening) the place was full, but thanks to the efficiency of the people I didn’t have to wait too long. My hairdresser was a nice hungarian lady and the chat was interesting and not of the«artificial» style I always experience at other hairdressers(like the hairdressers from hell — chain«Peter Mark»…). I got a free delicious coffee with it and if you happen to work for Google you even get a 6 Euro discount — so all in all great stuff: I found my new personal shaver! :)

Relatively new Barber shop in the Dublin Docks area, located in the glass tower known as «Alto Vetro» opposite to Grand Canal Square. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, you’ll be offered Coffee or Tea everytime you come by. Prices start at 15EUR for a dry cut. Wash and cut is 19EUR — still pretty cheap for a barber shop in this area — and includes a short head and neck massage. They offer corporate discounts for employees of certain firms — just mention you’re working for one of them, and find out if you’re eligible… All in all, a decent and stylish place to get your hair cut, even on Sundays.
