Hill 16 Bar

Its not for every one but i like it. It sits on gardiner street right beside mount joy square.
This is a big enough pub that has a strong sports fan customer base. The walls are lined with GAA jerseys and the place is packed out the doors for matches! I have not been for a night out but more so a few drinks during the day to watch a match or a quick catch up with a few freinds before moving on to somewhere else!

Right, first things first, Gardiner Street is not a street you want to be on at night time, wel its not a street i want to be on anyway! so that rules this bar out for me when it comes to drinks on a random night.
but wait! dont give up yet! on a day when there is a GAA match on this is the pub to be in, particularly if dublin are playing! the atmosphere is mighty and pints are flowing. even if your not a fan of GAA or even if your not from ireland and maybe never even heard of GAA this is a pub you should try fit in on a match day,
one little bit of trivia for you, its one i like to wow people with, well the people that dont know and nearly everyone knows now!
anyway, why is hill 16 called hill 16 (im talking about the side of croke park stadium that the pub is named after) well, it was built with the rubble form the 1916 rising (which is very important in irish history, look it up if you dont knwo what im talking about!) Anyway, nice little fact if i do say so myself!
