The staff here know their computers and how to fix things that go wrong and how to solve lots of your email, computer, printing, faxing problems. They are also really cool when you print out 10 pages of something that you really didn’t mean to do! When this happened to me they only charged me for the two I needed!

I have to write a review about this internet café because the man who works here helped me with a computer problem.
I too, like Jo, was here for job related purposes. I was trying to print out my CV but I was unable to open my email attachment. I freaked out because I was afraid that I would have to go back home to get my USB stick. Instead, the kind Indian man at the counter was able to counsel me. He fixed my problem by downloading a software and did it all with a smile that said: «Don’t worry. Be happy!»

Ah James, the internet isn’t THAT slow here (almost, but not quite!)
I spent a lot of time here when I first arrived in Dublin. As sad as it is, this place became a bit of a second home to me… the staff got to recognise me, and even to know what time of day or night I might be expected to arrive in-​store.
I sent off hundreds of job applications from the screens of these computers, while at the same time sifting through rental properties and trying to keep in touch with friends and family back home.
However, I will never forget the day i was turned off this internet café (and internet cafes in general) forever. I was particularly stressed and a little distraught at the lack of jobs on offer, and in some last-​ditch effort was applying for one of those con ‘promo sales, door-​to-​door’ style jobs (you know you’ve reached rock bottom when you start applying for them!) when suddenly the guy at the computer next to me started making questionable, and rather disturbing noises.
I ignored him for as long as I could, but eventually curiosity got the better of me and I just had to see what the fuss was about. I took a quick look over his shoulder and am now scarred for life.
Needless to say I hot-​footed it out of there and set about buying myself a laptop. But as far as internet cafes go, this one’s pretty decent.
Great value too — they used to have an offer of 15 hours’ internet access for 10 euro — pretty decent!

There’s a few of these sort of places on Gardiner Street, all catering to the backpacker market in the local hostels. This particular mixed business is a gem — combining a large amount of reasonably slow computers with an Asian grocery and luggage room! The web access is reasonably affordable and printing or scanning is about ten cents a page. Most of the computers have headsets and cameras so you can Skype, but the web speeds are slow so I reckon you would be up against it a bit. They use Firefox as their standard browser, which always makes me feel a bit safer, but obviously don’t log into online banking from a web café! Never tried the coffee — it comes from an automatic dispenser… Pop downstairs and grab some spices while you wait for your email to load.
