The food here was okay. This place may be a trap for gypsies to steal your valuables though. Ate here late night(around 4 am) and as we were exiting(literally not any other souls in sight) my friend was robbed by a gypsy. We were able to get the belongings back but the thieves were headquartered in the alley behind Istanbul and tried to distract what was actually going on. Thank god most of our party was sober but we think that since we appeared drunk it tipped the thieves off that we could be an easy target. Be careful exiting this place late night and keep your purse close to your body! Especially if you are drunk and American!

A very disappointing plate of food here. We ordered a mixed kebab but were given a plate of chips covered with mixed kebab fillings. It was all drowned in sauce. And then it went cold very quickly. I’m sure if it was presented better, there was less sauce and it was served up hot it may have been a nice dish. But not on this occasion. A waste of 6 – 7EUR. I wont be back.

5 euros for falafel combo with fries and drinks. Open late. A bit disappointed there is no Turkish coffee. Food was decent. Derive was fine. Free wifi.

Not one of the better offers in the Epicurean food hall. I had the lamb kebab with rice. The best thing was the salad which was crisp and fresh, everything else was a let down. Firstly the lamb and rice were lukewarm at best. The rice was over cooked and the rest was tasteless. I can’t recommend this to anyone. Note to proprietors — please try harder and reduce your prices guys, not worth it!

Delicious Turkish fare in the Epicurean food hall. They had great kebab dishes(chicken, lamb, etc) that you can get in entrée format(with salad and rice/pita) and I believe there are sandwich options as well. They do it the authentically, shaving the meat doner style(rotating roaster thing). Delicious!

In one of my reviews I named Zaytoon as the best place for kebabs in Dublin. Well, Istanbul in the Epricurean Food Hall comes a close second. These are real proper kebabs from a proper Turkish joint with its own seating. It also specialises in ‘Meditteranean’ food, but I would definitely try the kebabs if I was a first timer — a Lamb Doner kebab is € 7.50, Chicken Borek will cost you € 6. I get my lamb kebab on pitta bread — you can have rice instead if you like — with lots of garlic and a little chilli sauce. It also comes with lettuce. It really is divine, and really authentic tasting. I’m sure it’s laden with calories, but I couldn’t care less!
