I recently when to Lisa Wallace beauty for semi permanent mink eyelash extensions for a wedding I had never had these eyelashes before so I didn’t know what to expect! When I arrived I was welcomed by lovely staff! Very friendly I was brought into the treatment room and a chatted with the girl about my worries and that I had never had them before and that I was nervous but excited at the same time, she talked me through step by step about what was going to happen from start to finish! she also told me I wouldn’t even feel them on my eyelashes Which made me feel a lot better, she also asked how I wanted them to look which was great because I though you could only get them one way ! The end result was fabulous! I really loved them and can’t see myself without them again! And I have rebooked myself in for my reliefs in 3 weeks and also for 3 Glycolic facials which they have for 99 euro! I can’t wait to start them !!

The Lisa Wallace salon on South William street prides itself to care for the individual needs of their clients(or so their website says) which made me decide to buy a voucher and see whether this would be my new facial place. Making an appointment was easy enough considering the fine print ‘warned’ of a long waiting list for this salon and therefore to book early. To me, the long waiting list suggested an excellent quality of treatment and my expectations were high. When I arrived, the door was closed. I rang and I rang again and then I waited. 10minutes. There was no sign saying ‘therapist in treatment’ or similar so it was a bit strange to leave their clients just out in the hall. Eventually the door opened, I was greeted and offered a seat. My voucher was taken and I was brought into a different area to take a seat infront of a little kitchen area. And I waited again. A good 30mins after my scheduled appointment time, I was led into the treatment room where I received a mediocre shoulder massage and a facial which I wouldnt write home about. There was a therapist in the next room with another client and through the thin walls I could hear she was booked in for laser therapy which for some reason they now couldn’t do. They argued about that for a bit while I was lying there with a face mask on waiting for my therapist to come back. After the lady had left, I could hear both therapists in the hall talking about her in a non-professional way. I was a bit shocked to be honest to be witnessing that but I wasn’t planning on coming back in here anyway. The facial was okay as I said, nothing special so the price with a voucher is appropriate, everything else would be too much.

Salon is quite basic and you can see that not too much money was put into it. However the location is great. I had the glycol treatment. Done as it should be. They use Payot cosmetics which is not bad at all. I liked the face massage added to it as well. All together about 30 – 35 min. A bit too short.
