This Marks & Spencer’s is larger than the one on Grafton Street. They have also have a home department in this one. If you don’t mind traveling a little further you have several more options here

I used to buy most of my food here, but I don’t as much anymore. The quality of some items has dropped, and prices have gone up. I do buy some organic foods here, especially dairy which is hard to get elsewhere. For clothing its hit and miss. Sometimes they have some nice stuff, but other times your granny wouldn’t be caught it some of it!

Admittedly I haven’t bought anything from Marks and Spencer in about 5 years, but I walk through often enough. I can’t understand why people are willing to spend double in M&S compared to even the next most expensive supermarket for similar quality.

M&S are a great place to shop, and this location is better than most. As it is located in one of the busiest shopping centres in Ireland, they really do add a bit extra to this location. The selection here is amazing, the staff are brilliant, and around the holiday times you really see the effort they put in to this location. One thing to note, I personally try to avoid this spot on weekends and after 5PM during the week as it usually is quite busy and the queues are long due to the high volume of customers here.

someone said that no-one under the age of 40 shops here for clothes but i find that a bit insulting as im 40 and i find the clothes way too frumpy and dowdy for my tastes! I saw lots of little grans wandering the aisles looking at cardigans and A-line skirts and while the odd leather bag caught my eye i also found them a bit boring. Sorry marks and sparks! Also they are more expensive than their British sister stores here in Ireland, must be because they are importing the stuff over? Not fair i say!

Not my style of clothing I must say so it is hard to review without being a bit biased or maybe it is because I have not been in here often enough to get to the good stuff, I do not know but I guess it is an OK place if you dig their style. The prices are not horrible but they are not great either so like my stars say«A-Ok». The store is big and it is easy to find your way around. The staff seems friendly but not too pushy which is ALWAYS a good thing. I do not appreciate pushy sales people, I get more pissed off and want to annoy them back than I feel like buying anything, so always good to have staff that knows when enough is enough being a sales person.

I love all the samples that they have set up around the store this time of the year! Also, it was laid out to not be too hectic, which is always nice compared to other stores. I just came in to get cookies and was in and out in under 5 minutes because of how prepared they were. I also came back here recently for an amazing wine and champagne deal they had – buy 6 and get 25% off. Let this sale return! BTW: in my last review of this M&S, I said I could not find cilantro – its called coriander here!(FYI to other Americans)

This review is an Ode to the ladies of a certain vintage that operate the measurements tapes for the boobage area on the second floor. I waited for about 20 minutes to be seen to as that’s how busy it is in there. All age groups wanting to get a fitting from these experienced woman. I left it far too long to be professionally measured and I won’t go into too much salacious detail but I gasped when she revealed what my real numbers are, «No way!» «Yes dear.» «I can’t believe it.» «You just relax there and I will bring you some nice bras to try on.» Do not under estimate the power of a properly fitted bra and it was lovely if a bit odd to have this old dear coach me about cups from the sideline, «You see this is the best way to do it.» «Oh right, wow.» «Look at the improvement.» I stood there looking at my cleavage proudly. «Thank you so much!»

If Debenhams is the Macy’s of Dublin, Marks & Spencer is the Lord and Taylor meets Whole Foods. Ground floor has women’s clothes targeted to the older ladies(I saw no lady under 40 looking in this section) and the food hall. On the first floor there’s more women’s clothes and on the upper floors there’s men clothes, homeware and a café. The food hall is better than the Tesco’s grocery market, but also more expensive. You can find all different kinds of cheeses, and ethnic foods(Italian, Indian, etc…) Everything is their own brand, so no «brand names» here. They have a bunch of pre-made sandwiches, desserts, pastas, etc… All in all I found the food selection to be great! The clothes were more expensive than Dunnes or Pennys, but on par with Debenhams.

Dearest Marks & Spencer. You dont actually want people to cook their own food, do you? No, I thought not. Love, Alison.

i dont like M&S fr the same reasons that everyone else loves them. They sell all of their own stuff!!! No thanks… i want Coca Cola not Cola and i want the same mundane stuff that gets sold everywhere else… because ITSCHEAPER!!! I would never even consider walking into Dunnes Stores and picking up a Dunne’s stores pair of pants even though it is more expensive than the brand names in every other store… the idea is that the stores own brand should be cheaper! CHEAPER… Dunnes is CHEAPER… M&S … well they some how convinced everyone that their food was better than anything ever… when its still just the same crap except this time they have some sexy voice over on an add while some photoshoped image of Chocolate syrup is over sized and plastered all over our television screens… how is this better? HOW… HOW is it more expencive?! Ill shop at tescos and get myself normal food… because they dont pretend to sell anything else.

This Marks and Spencer is huge and impressive! On the ground floor you’ll find women’s apparel, accessories and lingerie, up top you’ve got menswear, kids and home accessories. The apparel is kind of along the lines of Penney’s and Dunnes but just a bit more expensive. It’s fashionable and the quality is really great, considering the prices! Their lingerie section is top notch. There are some really sexy bras and undies here, as well as some great basic day-to-day undies.

Probably the biggest Marks and Spencer in Dublin. On the groundfloor is the foodhall and some clothes and an entrance to the Jervis shopping centre. They usually do good meal deals at the weekend here, like the 12.50 meal for two deal. They have quite a good cards and wrapping paper section here too. On the first floor there’s more women’s clothes and further up again there’s men clothes, homeware and a café. At Christmas they have a great selection of gift for friends, family and colleagues as well as great decorations. They are also tops for underwear — I get all my socks here!
