I like chips, they supposed to be super artificial but honestly, what is not? Another thing that I love and I’ve could eat everyday is mcflurry. With extra chocolate sauce. Lots of chocolate sauce…

As far as McDonalds go, this one is actually pretty good. Aside from the fact it is in one of the most central locations in all of Dublin you will find the service is very good and very quick. They have ample seating and are open late. I find myself popping in here after a night out to grab something before heading to the flat too often.

On the menu they had pancakes with sausage, but I requested only pancakes. Twice I asked the lady at the register if this would be possible, and she said that it would not be a problem. So what did I get? I got pancakes with a piece of sausage. Also, the WiFi only works on the main floor where they have very limited seating(seating is upstairs). I thought that the recipe for pancakes would be similar across all the McDonalds around the world. Well, call me naïve, but this is certainly not the case. The pancakes from this location tasted like plastic. I have never had to throw out pancakes before, until now. All in all, the experience was terrible.

I can’t believe I’m actually reviewing McDonalds. We rarely eat at McDonalds, the hubby used to profess to hate it. Occasionally when in a rush for a snack we’d grab one of the 2 euro double cheeseburgers, they can actually be kind of tasty in a weird way. Occasionally I get a hankering for a lukewarm Big Mac(looong story, better left untold) but normally I just stay away. So we’re in town doing some last minute shopping before holidays, I’m hungry, hubby is hungry. Of all places, he decides he’s got a «goo» for McDonalds. Ok. We head to this one as its the closest to our bus. I have never, ever, in my life had such a dry flavorless burger from McDonalds. They may have mediocre food, but you can generally count on it being mediocre, and a standardized mediocre. I had some«american classic» and it was just dry and tasteless. The fries were soggy and almost salt-less. Hubby’s food was no better. I gotta say, I won’t visit this location again.

If you’re a tourist like me, then you have got to try this McDonald’s. The McFlurries are different(in a good way) and when you leave, you leave your tray on the table. You WILL get strange looks if you throw away your own trash. The food was delicious and different than McD’s in the states. My second favorite McD’s, my first favorite is in Korea since they have bugolgi burgers. It might become my third after I try teriyaki burgers from a Japanese McDonalds. Oh, and this McDonald’s is two stories.

I’m sooooooo not a fan of fast food, but in honor of my friends who didn’t make it on this trip but loves to try Big Macs in every country they travel to… I stopped by McD and had a Big Mac. To my surprise… I actually loved it. Seriously — have you ever had a Big Mac that tastes healthy? Not dry, flavorful, no oily greasy beef after-taste… I sit there munching, wonder what the heck do they put in our food back home? Their McCafe is nice too — my friend had a very, very delicious apple cake(apple pie) here where the apple taste crisp, sweet, fresh, and flavorful(not overly sugared and flavored by cinnamon like they are in the McD pies here). This place actually makes me «want» to eat at McDonalds…

This is one of two McDonald’s restaurants on this stretch of O’Connell St. It’s supposedly open 24 hours, and has a café stand near the entrance for a quick coffee+pastry fix. The restaurant was nice and clean, and the second floor has a nice view over the street(although the view is not as nice as what you could get from the second floor of the other store).
