wagon wheel. seriously.
i’m 100% with Bridget and i’m also strangely in love with the place. i’m so glad my house came with a menu for Mizzoni’s or i would have never discovered the ridiculousness. like the pizza’s not even that great… but then something about it is so very perfect.
man, i’m craving it now as i write this. now i just need to get a few friends over, get a coupla beers into me and get me some family meal deal for like 20 squids. awwww yeah!

I can’t defend my affection for Mizzoni’s. The dough is crackery, the toppings only mostly cooked. The cheese (by the time delivery arrives) is tough as a dowager’s jowls and let’s not get started on that bland sauce.
But… it’s so viciously satisfying. And cheap.
Those Wagon Wheels, while embarrassing to order (no one feels healthy asking for food the size of Prairie transportation aides) are just what the doctor ordered on a cheap Friday night in.
In those heady days on Parnell St. I freely admitted my love of the BBQ chicken Wagon Wheel to puzzled friends. Today, I’m a little more reserved and demanding of my pizza pies; but oh, those crunchy crusts …
Be brave, order the wheel with barbecue chicken on it and join me in secret (delicious) shame.
