Specialties
Handmade Ice Cream from Dingle. Ice Cream that knows where it’s coming from.
We have 16 different flavours to choose from including Dingle sea salt, Peanut butter, brown bread, honeycomb caramel and raspberry sorbet to name a few. Come in and ask for a taste we will be happy to give you one.
Murphys Ice Cream uses milk from the rare, indigenous breed of Kerry cow because the milk is so wonderful.
We have a great team behind the scenes who are instrumental in what we do, and if you’re in our shops, say hi to Garry, Yohei, Carol, Sara, Graham, Laura, Anita, Justin, etc. — they and all the others are the people who keep Murphys going!

History
Established in 2000.
Sean and Kieran Murphy started Murphys Ice Cream in Dingle, Co. Kerry in 2000, with the goal of making the best ice cream in the world.
We now have bigger pots and pans, but we still make ice cream the same way — breaking eggs and using fresh cream, milk and pure cane sugar to make a delicious custard that we flavour with fresh, natural, real ingredients. There’s no real trick to what we do, we just take care and use the best of everything.
2000: Opened Murphys Ice Cream on Strand Street in Dingle, Co. Kerry.
2003: Opened a little ice cream laboratory/factory in Baile na Buaile, Dingle.
2004: Launched wholesale tubs.
2005: Opened Murphys Killarney
2008: Published The Book of Sweet Things
2009: Opened a seasonal shop on Slea Head Drive.
2010: Opened Murphys in Dublin.
