As a Greek guy eating in Dublin, where Greek food options are quite limited, I have to say, Mykonos comes quite close. Nice taverna like atmosphere and décor, the lads are very friendly and happy to explain the menu to foreigners. The recipes are pretty good but I’d like them a bit more authentic, in a Greek way. Will be coming back for sure.

Excellent food, great ambiance, and the staff is very accommodating. We started with some appetizers; flaming cheese(saganaki), pita and hummus, and bread with olive spread and sun dried tomatoes. The saganaki was to die for and we went to heaven on the hummus. The baked bread with olive spread and tomatoes was pretty good but the bread was crispy which I personally prefer soft bread. I had the gyro plate which was made with traditional lamb and pork as supposed to the normal compressed meat tubes you normal see at gyro places. My son is a vegetarian and ordered the vegetable musaka and my wife ordered the meat musaka. The made a mistake and brought two meat musaka’s. When we mentioned it, they were very apologetic and brought the vegetable musaka within 3 minutes. All in all, we would eat here again.

This Greek style tapas place is well worth checking out. Really fresh and tasty salads, the gyros were great and the staff were also really friendly. Only hit the tip of the iceberg I’d say. We’ll be back.

Went there for dinner on a Saturday, had the gyros platter. Great taste, especially for the money spent. Would also recommend the feta cheese as a side order, very nice authentic feta! Staff was very Greek(as you would expect in a place like this) and friendly. Our dish arrived 15 minutes after ordering, which was just perfect! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

So many items on the menu are my favorites. The baked feta is outstanding. Authentic greek. The texture of their hummus is noticeably different and better than many other places. Highly recommended.

Wish I could say something better, but the food is about as half hearted as the service. Except for the tzatziki and the feta, everything we had was bland and seemed to come out of the microwave. That would be the chicken, gyros, hummus, spanakopita and dolmas. Salad wasn’t bad, but needed more flavor. Try Umi, the middle eastern place down the block — they have homemade pita.

Great greek food. Meat platter for 2 for only 17 Euro. Hummus & Taziki so good. Good Greek beer. Waiters are so efficient. Price can be medium to high side, but good food.

Went there on a Saturday evening. We were hanging out the streets without any precise idea of a place to eat. As we stood by the door of this restaurant and looked at the menu displayed on the window, a waiter came out and began to promote the restaurant. Easily convinced by the fact that the friend I was with never had Greek food before, we opted for this place. The interior is small, cozy and quiet. All the food we ordered was very good, and it was served rather quickly. Also, I have to say that their Pita break is absolutely delicious! Great service as well. The place seemed authentic. I’m a fan!

This fairly recent spot is overall quite nice, the décor, food and service are definitely Mediterranean! When I looked at the menu for the first time, one word seemed to glow on that page, slowly growing larger than all the others, until it filled the entire page, my mind, and the very room we were in! I was helpless against the power that word commands over my mind. Sardines. So my girlfriend and I had the grilled sardines(I kind of like sardines), the octopus(check back often to see my next work«Ode to an Octopus»), some tzatziki, and another delicious mezzede that involved grilled aubergine and feta cheese. Everything was quite tasty, not the best sardines and/or octopus I ever had, but good enough to appease my all-consuming yearning for good fish and seafood. Food was good, but not amazing, and a bit on the pricey side for the size of the portions(about 9 € or so for two sardines). I’ll definitely go back for the very specific type of food they offer, but not a place I’ll be raving about to anyone that is unfortunate enough to find him or herself within raving radius.

Sardines and octopus on the menu? I’m there! If you’re looking for an authentic mediterranean place, I can assure you this is probably one of the closest experiences in Dublin. Even the way the waiters go about their business is different, with no fuss, openly commenting on your food choices and suggesting what they think is better in a humorous tone. A few minutes inside Mykonos and you’ll start believing you could be in Greece, with the white and blue themed decoration and colourful pictures of fishing villages hanging on the walls. To seal the deal, you have the delicious smelling food, which I’d put down as casual and homely, more than surprising or inspired. The small plates — mezzedes — are the stars of the menu, ideal to pick a few and share like you would with any other kind of tapas. There are many vegetarian options and also a few dips — tzatziki, hummus… — that go nicely with their toasted pita bread. Meat lovers don’t despair, there’s also something in here for you, like a mixed grill platter or lamb dishes. The wine list is almost as long as the food menu, and I was happy to be able to choose a nice light wine to go with my meal. What you can’t pick from a menu are desserts, and that’s because they change daily, but you’re bound to find specialties there, like baklava. It’s quite enjoyable and I know I’ll go back, but when it comes down to it, the prices aren’t competitive — particularly during lunchtime -, for such simple food or even portion size.

Fresh and delicious food. Had the Greek salad, pita with tzatziki and hummus, chicken gyro. The feta cheese with Greek salad was to die for. Hummus, not so good. It just seemed like crushed coarse chick peas. Chicken perfectly tender and soft pita bread. Service was ok but they were really really busy. Oh and we also had the fresh prawns, yummy in my tummy! One star less because we asked the lady who came to pick up our plates that we wanted to order more(twice) and she never sent our waiter. He never came back to us after we requester the menu and he dropped it off. We had to catch him while he walked by.

There is a warm welcome from all the staff when you walk in the door and are shown a table. The full menu provides a good wide selection of traditional Greek fare — by the way the chef is Greek which also helps with the authenticity of the place. We tried a number of the starters: sardines(wonderful) taramasalata(really good) cabbage dolmades(fair but in a creamy sauce?) vine leaves dolmades(too much leaf) and then had the mixed grill which was wholesome & will fill you up(if you eat it all on your own :-)) would have preferred less of the charcoal burn on the chicken kebab and a little less salt in the kofta, but nice all the same. The baklava pastry was a tad dry but came with a refreshing sorbet. Topped off with fresh Greek coffees we left happily fulfilled and if only Unilocal allowed ½ points it would have been a 3.5 instead of a 3 as it wasn’t enough to go to 4…

Tasty greek food! The portions aren’t too big and we found the price a bit excessive for the quantity given. But it was an enjoyable mediterranean dinner.
