Description

Specialties

Since reopening its doors late last year after an extensive renovation, the new Odeon burst back onto the scene with the promise of good food, good drink and a good time, in delectably decadent surroundings.

Open from 4pm Monday to Saturday, we provide the ideal excuse for an after-hours apéritif with the boss, cocktails over a weekend catch-up or a quiet glass of vino in the library.

Boasting a drinks menu from your dreams, The Odeon’s skilled bar tenders guarantee a tipple for every taste. You could start with their signature cocktail, the vanilla-infused Hot & Cold Cosmo — the perfect pick me up after a long day. Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can try a Spiced Mojito with a hint of Pineapple, or a Blackberry Truffle Manhattan (who doesn’t love a chocolate cocktail?).

It’s not all cocktails at dawn in the Odeon either. If you’re feeling peckish, the tapas inspired menu will leave you pining for more!

History

Established in 1998.

Not only is the ODEON one of Dublin’s best known bars, it is a historical gem with standing over 100 years of memorable moments in Dublin City.

The ODEON opened in 1998 in the entrance to the former Harcourt Street Railway Terminus following extensive renovation and restoration. The original building, designed by George Wilkinson, opened in 1859. It operated as Dublin City centre’s main station until the line’s closure in 1959, after which the majestic building fell prey to a soulless office conversion.

It’s rehabilitation as a public space removed all superfluous internal divisions and restored the building to it’s original grand, open dimensions.
