Paramount hotel was super convenient for us, located by temple bar and they do a great job in hospitality. The front desk was always ready to help and very nice and patient. The area our room was located in didn’t really have a strong WiFi connection, but other rooms did, and if you go downstairs, it works perfectly. I do have to say it gets a little rowdy and loud outside at night, but I slept like a baby since noise doesn’t really affect me when I sleep. For the price, Paramount really offers great value.

Paramount has a superb location — right in Temple Bar. A small cosy hotel with good rooms. Stayed here a few times and there is a bit of noise outside however it didn’t bother me that much. Did however have to complain on one stay as our room was right above the hotels bar — we were moved to a penthouse room the next night by hotel staff so felt happy enough with the service we received. Would stay here again.

Hard to find in the alleyway. Rooms were small and very noisy with outside noise. I was not very impressed with this place. Best thing about it was the location. Staff was not very helpful and not too friendly either.

The accommodations were fine, I suppose. and as far as traveling in Europe can be, I am always thankful if my lodgings are clean and with a private bathroom. I will say we were somewhat disappointed, as the hotel and rooms were not as advertised, we thought. We were expecting, thanks to the photography, a modern and rather luxurious hotel with a swanky night club. When we came we found a poorly lit, almost grimy lobby with rather oddball receptionists. It also was much smaller than we expected. We both thought that this was going to be best hotel of the whole trip, and were looking forward to our stay here, so we felt very misled. But in any case, we were checked in quickly, and our bags were brought to our rooms. The room was hot and poorly ventilated, and the window was being propped up with a small lotion bottle. The sheets were rough, and the mattress was hard as a rock. I suppose all of these things can be expected when traveling, but the point is that the hotel portrayed a higher quality on their website than it actually was, so with that we were disappointed. Also, there was not a hairdryer in the room, though we were told there would be one. I have read in some reviews that it was very noisy thanks to the nightclub on the first floor, and the surrounding area has a bustling nightlife. When I travel though I come armed with ambien and earplugs, so for me it wasn’t an issue. Positives about Paramount Hotel –For the most part clean rooms –Close to everything in Dublin –wi-fi

Warum? Weil alle Bars und Pubs in diesem Quartier liegen, einige sogar an derselben Strasse. Und das gilt auch für unter der Woche, also nicht nur Freitag/Samstag…

By day this is a decent-at-best 2-star hotel, but by night it is a noisy, creepy chamber of insomnia. If you stay here, you MUST ask to stay on a higher floor. There is a super loud night club on the ground floor of this hotel with bass so loud it will vibrate your pillows until 5AM. After our first sleepless night here, we we moved to the higher floor. The room is fine, a little dirty, but overall decent. I am a city girl(NYC), so I am used to city noise, but the ones that come through the hotel windows at 4 a.m. will awake even the deepest sleeping traveler. I wouldn’t stay here again, nor would I recommend it to a friend. There are way too many variables that need to alight to make this a decent stay. Continue your search for a better hotel in Dublin.

Irish hospitality! Free WIFI! Close to everything! Free breakfast! WOOHOO! The location is amazing. This was my first trip to Dublin. I arrived to the hotel in a cab, armed with a map prepared to walk everywhere and I picked the perfect home base! You are right in Temple Bar, restaurants galore everywhere, right near a main road to access the bus if you so choose, and within walking distance of basically everything. The hotel itself was very clean. The room was small but clean and had everything I needed — and for some reason had great water pressure! One comment… Try to get a room on a high floor. Bars stay open til 4am and people go out in Temple Bar every night so it can get noisy if you keep your window open! Breakfast and wifi is included — which was a great bonus! Hotel staff were there to help with anything I needed too, which was really nice.

Other than the fact that folks two blocks away had no idea where Parliament St. or Essex St. was, this is a great hotel. Located within easy walking distance to Temple Bar, but not in the«heart» of the action. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfy, and overall met our needs and expectations. Yes, it was noisy late at night, and the sounds of people yelling and cans being kicked over can be irritating. But I think the location makes up for that. TIP: Parking is at the Christ Church Car Park and the hotel will stamp your ticket to get you a flat € 12.60. It’s a little bit of a walk, but the car park is fine…

P. S. Our rooms looked nothing like the picture. I feel like I got ripped off.

I really enjoyed staying here at the Paramount Hotel. I can’t express how great this location is for both sightseeing(City Hall and Dublin Castle are right behind the hotel) and pubbing(everywhere!). My room was great other than the fact that it was on the side of the street across from the Czeh Inn Pub, making it quite noisy. I must preface that I am a light sleeper, but the noise outside did not end until 3am every night and began again at 9am. Since the weather in Dublin never gets too hot, there is no air-conditioning here and in order to keep the noise out, I had to keep the windows shut while I slept. It did get a bit warm at times, but was completely managable. Also, my room just happened to be atop of a small set of stairs/door, so everytime someone passed by it was noisy as well. So I would advise against staying in Room 311. The staff was friendly, athough it seemed as if they did not know much. I asked about how to get on the bus to get to the Guinness Storehouse and no one knew how to get there or how much the bus cost. Just as a note, I was not able to find an ATM that accepted US Mastercard. Make sure you have enough cash to convert! So if convenience is important and noise it not, this is the place for you.

Located in the Temple Bar area it is the perfect location to walk and enjoy the nightlife(yet the rooms are quiet and peaceful). We stayed here for two nights in Ireland, after a week of driving the countryside and staying at B&B’s. Hotel is within walking distance of almost all major attractions and Dublin Castle’s entrance is less than 2 blocks away. The staff was very helpful, room was clean, big, comfortable. Breakfast was not included in the rate, but fresh apples were provided every morning in the lobby. Wireless internet was available in the room and worked well. Hotel also has a pub/restaurant on the ground level which is very convenient. We definitely would recommend this hotel for your stay in Dublin city center. Here is a tip — you can take the Airport bus in and out from City Center to airport for only 7 Euros. It is easy, runs on schedule, available 24 hours, many convenient stops in the city.
