This is a small little bistro. The seating is a bit tight and there are not a massive amount of tables inside, but think of it as cosy.
The staff is very polite and pleasant. Our office has acquired much coffee and tea from this bistro, which is of expectable quality.
The food itself is a bit expensive in terms of lunch, but the portions were larger than I expected. A colleague ordered a meat, cheese, and bread platter — which was served on a hedonistic platter.
Myself, I had the ravioli, which was probably the best ravioli I ever had (especially after I knicked a couple pieces of cheese from my colleague!).
I have to underscore that the portions were quite a bit larger than I thought they’d be. When I sat down, I honestly did not expect this would be filling. I was pleasantly incorrect.

Their lattes are fantastic, has a great full taste which completely satisfies me since I’m very picky when it comes to a great latte.
The staff is extremely attentive, they remember what you had last time and kindly offer you the option if you want to have the same, even if you just went there a couple of times before.
They serve excellent food; since my first visit I have tried plenty from their menu, which is versatile. One of their paninis with a lovely minestrone soup, wide range of pastas or the weekly special which is a must to try.
I would recommend this place for a lunch break, for a dinner or just to go in and enjoy a truly delicious latte or a glass of quality wine.

This café/​bar is located right next to the Liffey, between Grattan and O’Donovan bridges, ideal to sit down for a hot drink on a cold afternoon or relax with a glass of wine after a nice stroll along the river.
I came her recently for a take-​away coffee but found the staff so friendly that I decided to enjoy my cup on the spot. Piccolo is small, but I grabbed a table outside and the traffic really didn’t bother me. I can imagine that this place will become a popular drinking venue in summer, when downtown pedestrians can enjoy their drinks and snacks at the outdoor tables on fair weather days. Can’t wait!
