Our aim is to educate, motivate and stimulate our students by improving technique, precision and technical discipline along with nurturing creativity and passion.

We want our students to learn the correct way to cut, colour and style hair, to build confidence and have a solid understanding of modern hairdressing.

Our Educators are full time teachers with years of experience and expertise in hairdressing behind them.

All work is supervised at all times, models are required Monday to Friday and the finished work is checked by the Teacher to ensure the quality remains at its highest!

The Robert Chambers Hairdressing Academy

training school in Ireland.

We have trained and qualified thousands of hairdressers producing many award-​winning stylists and international artists.

We understand that everyone has very specific needs in relation to training. We will sit down with you, discuss your requirements and organise a course around you.

Robert Chambers has been at the forefront of Irish Hairdressing for 40 years.

Robert was the first hairdresser to open a hairdressing school and the first hairdresser to be inaugurated into the Irish Hairdressing Hall of Fame.

The Robert Chambers Hair Salons provide only the best training and Expert Cutting, Colouring & Styling Teams to provide for clients and students alike.

Oh, I walked in a bit anxiously and left a happy bunny. The hairdressing academy is always looking for ‘models’ for their students to practise on. I booked a cut and blow dry which is 23Euro.
I was looked after by Rose, such a sweet, gentle and skilled person. We talked in detail about what I wanted, she then washed my hair and a teacher/​supervisor went over the details with her again, making sure everyone is one the same page.
The trainee hairdressers take (much) longer (I was in there for an hour and a half for a 30min job) but the outcome was the same standard I usually get from a senior stylist. Sometimes they dont even get it right. So if you have a bit of time, try and use the academy. I was assured upon booking that no one leaves lopsided as the teacher is always around in case something needs fixing. There’s also a free conditioning treatment with a Unilocal check-​in. Nice!
