I love Schuh for their high quality shoes and great variety from heels to boots to sandals. I come here to buy Dr. Martins and Converse since they are one of the only shops that stock them. The staff are really friendly and the service is quick, the shop is spacious and they have almost every style of shoe. The prices are a bit on the high side considering the quality, but shoes I buy here always last ages. I also find it’s easier to get sizes outside the 3 – 6 bracket since I’m a 7 and most high street stores rarely stock above 6. They have a larger branch on O’Connell street which has more of a selection especially in terms of mens shoes.

I like Schuh. Then again I’m a bit of a shoe fanatic so I would. Do I think this store is the best of the Schuh chain? No! Although the staff are very friendly I find the store itself always feels overcrowded no matter how quiet it is because it’s just so jam packed with displays.

I have a particular affinity with Havaianas flipflops. Two pairs broke in the same week! Not that I’m complaining about them — they had walked many miles and the youngest of them was about 3 years old. But I’m off on holidays and with no flipflops… truly the tragedy of our time. Now I know Schuh stock them… I knew they would. In fact I got my last pair there with a free customising offer. No such luck this time! I didn’t feel like elbowing my way through people on the O’Connell St branch, so I went to this little one upstairs in the Jervis centre. Staff here are super friendly and helpful but not invasive. And its just not mental like the one on O’Connell St — you can actually sit down and try on your shoes. I got my replacement flipflops and was able to move on with my life… The End!

Schuh stock a huge selection of shoes, from Doc Martens to 9 inch heeled stilettos. Whilst it’s rather an expensive store to shop at, I’ve found that buying online from and collecting from instore(which is free) saves a lot of money. They’ll even refund the student discount onto your credit card as the website doesn’t accept student cards.

Schuh gets my vote as being one of, if not the, best shoe shops in Dublin. For gals they carry they carry a ton of fashionable heels and flats by their own label as well as others. But where they really excel is the variety of casual sneakers they have for girls. I’ve noticed a lot of shops in Dublin carry tons of these every day shoes for guys but little to no options for girls. We don’t always prance around in high heels, in fact I rarely do! So I was pretty much in sneaker heaven at Schuh. They also carry a lot of different labels like the very unique Irregular Choice, the edgy Red or Dead and the comfy, hippie trainers and flats that are Simple. These are rare finds in any other shoe shop, but Schuh’s full of them. They’ve got tons of old standards like Converse and Doc Marten if you don’t feel like straying quite so far out of your comfort zone. Their selection for guys is also great in terms of trainers. They also have a wonderful variety of leather shoes appropriate for the office or a night on the town.

Schuh is ok. They’ve certainly got lots of shoes but it’s often millions of dock martens(in lots of colours) lots of crazy stilettos and the strangest shoes you can find. They do have a good selection of colourful pumps though which are good value.

Who loves shoes? I love shoes! The odder the better. My love affair with Schuh began in this tiny flagship store many moons ago. I am a huge fan of irregular choice and red or dead, and they do both as well as other stuff. I still have all my Schuh purchases, the oldest is pushing 6 years, I kid you not, they stock good quality so it’s worth the money. Staff are great because they have often put up with my moaning about the shoe not being in the colour I want or size, and instead of stabbing me they actually have taken the time to call all their sister stores and even their UK stores, yup they are good people. If you want a pair of shoes that people will admire and want, come here. Best of all they are always refreshing the line, so chances are you will not face the cringe factor of seeing someone else in your shoes.

Although the Schuh in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is my favourite, I also really like this one as it is close to where I work. It is quite big and spacious and the staff are really friendly and helpful here.

Schuh is a fantastic store, and I always have a great shopping experience whenever I go in the store. They sell a variety range of shoes from casuals to formal to occasional, so you can always find something you want. Schuh’s shoes also tend to be a bit different from other high street stores, so there is a very high chances that you won’t see others wearing the same pair of shoes as you! Staff are always friendly and willing to help, you can also order shoes if not in stock. You don’t get this service anywhere else. Love it!
