Sky Backpackers

For a hostel it’s fine. Maybe I’m being overly picky and selective and not considering the fact it’s in the middle of a major city, but i think it’s okay. The environment isn’t as good as the better hostels I’ve seen and the staff puts minimal effort it.
The breakfast is basic at best.
The main reasons I give it a 3 is the lack of secure storage, the lack of elevator, and the horrible smell in the kitchen.

Pleasant stay at sky backpackers although not the best. The front desk staff was mostly helpful and let us store our bags until we could check in. Me and my boyfriend stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm and were unpleasantly surprised that we would not be able to share the same bunk but both would have top bunks. And unlucky for my boyfriend, there were 4 other girls in the room. Luckily the next morning we were able to switch and share a bunk. The facilities are nice, not spectacular or as cool as I thought thy would be, but this place is very clean and has plenty of seating. There is also a washer and dryer and ²⁴⁄₇ reception. Gotta love free maps too and a great location.

A first time visitor to Dublin and vacationing alone, I was nervous about staying in a hostel. Thankfully, this place made my experience in Ireland incredible. The location is PERFECT. A five minute walk to the Temple Bar area, a 1 minute walk to O’Connell Street and directly across the street from an amazing bar that has nightly live music and awesome drink specials. Having someone at the front desk ²⁴⁄₇ was extremely helpful. I never had to worry about being locked out or that strange people were coming in and out in the middle of the night. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and always offered suggestions about what to do and see as well as how to get around the city. I was able to make friends from all over the world, some of which I know I’ll see again. This hostel is ideal for someone traveling alone and the price to stay is unbeatable. Not only would I recommend this place to anyone, I will definitely be back!
