Sound Hire

Hired a set of DJ decks for a party/​event recently from here and they were an absolute pleasure to work with!
They gave me a brand new set that had just arrived and threw in an extra set of leads ‘just in case’ and showed me how it worked and all it did. The young guy even helped carry it to my car and was extremely friendly and genuine.
The owner Larry is the loveliest businessman I have met, he was a bit late to open the shop on the day of the return but apologised profusely and carried it in from my car, and said I needn’t bother come in (I thought he might want to check all was in order in front of me) but he told me it was fine.
Sound people, reasonable rates. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

I have a confession to make … I’m completely tone deaf! This however doesn’t stop me from consuming copious amounts of booze and shouting my lungs out in one of my favourite activities in the world. karaōke!
Now unfortunately it’s hard enough to find a good karaōke spot in Dublin, and when you do they might only have openings say at 2AM. Well fear not fellow karaōke lovers! There’s soundhire Dublin. They offer all kinds of sounds gear from PA systems to karaōke rentals. The actually shop itself is small and cluttered, but with their delivery services you never actually have to step inside.
So ring all your closest friends ask them to bring drink along and do their best Britney Spears!

If you’re planning your own rock festival, it’s only a matter of time before you think of heading to Sound Hire in Ranelagh.
I actually did try to organise a rock festival for my birthday once. It was going to be called «Brian-​a-​palooza», I was going to get everyone I knew who was in, or knew, a band to play. I was going to have a stage, lights, mega speakers everything. I had acquired a field through a friend, lined up some acts, and through Sound Hire had found a very reasonable P.A. system.
Strangely enough, it was just the stage that I couldn’t get, you have no idea how hard it is to hire a stage for less than, like, a billion euros these days. I contacted MCD, who do Oxegen and stuff, but they weren’t really into massaging my ego at considerable expense. I toyed with the idea of building one, with a friend who studied wood work at school, but wood is also unbelievably expensive.
I think I might have another stab at «Brian-​a-​palooza» some day, maybe when I’m rich and famous some one will do it for me, but whatever way it goes I’m sure it will take me back to Sound Hire, who get four stars for catering to anyone with more than € 90 and a serious desire to rock. Or in my case, have other people rock on their behalf.
