I like this Tesco, its big and seems to have everything under one roof– clothes and all. The parking is underneath and you can even pay to get your car cleaned if you wish. The shop is well laid out and there is a great selection of produce. It very bright and pleasant to shop in. We live in Kilmainham and it only takes fifteen minutes to drive over and park. I am not a fan of Tesco in general but I do recommend this particular one if you are looking to one shop in one place.

I really really like this Tesco, although I much prefer to shop in Lidl or Aldi. This store is huge, definitely the biggest Tesco I’ve been into. It’s about two and a half times the size of the Parnell Street and Jervis Shopping Centre ones. Although the reduced section is quite small for a supermarket of this size, the discounts are fantastic. I bought a packet of cocktail sausages for 14 cent before, as well as many other items for a similar price. Not as good as the German supermarkets in relation to price but this place is almost there.

This is probably the best Tesco I have ever been in. [You should see my review of Tesco in Phibsboro to get a feel for how I usually feel about this giant supermarket chain.] It says it’s Cabra but it’s kinda not really IMO. It borders the Navan Road, Cabra and Drumalee just behind the Maple Centre. It’s big. Like really big. Not Clearwater Finglas big but big. So the variety is really good. With clothing and electronics alongside your usually grocery and alcohol sections. Veggies and fruit are usually atrocious at Tesco and this is an exception. I mean it isn’t by any means Marks and Spencers standard but for the usually low price of Tesco it’s surprisingly pretty good. Replenishment of stock is also something that is terrible at Tesco and again these guys seem to be breaking the norm. Wine and spirits selection is good. Beer is OK, better than average. Although honestly I would just go to O’Brien’s next door for wine and beers. They have a great«free from» section. So your gluten free and lactose and dairy free produce. I do suffer a little with food allergies and find this the best and cheapest place to go. Selection is great. There is a café and a barbers here too AND a toilet which is great as my bladder is the size of a pea. [TMI sorry.] Staff are for the most part very friendly and I can only imagine that the reason this store is such a success is down to management. So keep up the good work guys. You have converted me.

As Tescos go, this one is possibly my favourite. It’s got all the appeal of a tesco extra without the intimidating size. They have so many things in this shop from toys to clothes & of course the usual grocaries etc that you would expect from tesco, but I think the reason I prefer this one to others is that I am someone who has specific dietary requirements(oh so many food intolerances) & this particular tesco has lots of options for me. As well as a huge rage of raw beans which seems a strange thing to appreciate but I do! Maybe it’s just the layout that’s different but I always find what I’m looking for here which I don’t get in every tesco! Also, they have a very cute little café that does a mean scone if you’re ever peckish before you shop. Remember folks, don’t grocary shop when you’re hungry!

This tesco is actually good compared to some of there other ones it is very easy to find as it is huge and always a parking spot even during the busy hours. They supply nearly everything from food to electronics to clothes. They even have a barbers i know that sounds strange but its true a barbers in a supermarket. There little restaurant looks okay I have not gone to it tho so cant say weather its good or bad. The staff here are nice and helpful and they always have some good deals on randoms products.

This is probably one if the most affordable places to get groceries for students. It is similar to target/Ralph’s/Walmart. You can get all your necessities here(not as cheap as in the States but it will do) Remember to bring your own grocery bags or you’ll have to pay for one! Also if you sign up for a tesco card and rack up 150 points you’ll get 1.50 euro off! *tip: if you want to buy fruit I would go to Henry street to get it. There’s a fruit/veggie market there and you can get deals like 10 apples for 1 euro, which is much cheaper than tesco

As far as Tesco’s go, this is certainly the cream of the crop. Before this store opened, roughly October 2011, I was shopping at the Finglas Tesco so I’m sure you can understand why this seems like a luxury. The isles are wide and clutter free and the selection is vast. There is a fresh butcher, fresh fish stand, bakery, and deli counter onsite. There is also a café at the front of the store that services sandwiches and coffee although I’ve never seen it open. I’m sure that it’s during normal business hours most days of the week. Usuaully check out is pretty quick as they have a handful of self checkout lanes and 10 – 12 cashier check out lanes. Underground parking is a bonus for the days you’re food shopping in the rain!

As Tescos go, this is not half bad. Yeah it’s ugly on the outside, a big square, aluminum looking box, all conspicuous in it’s placement, awkwardly placed on the side of the Navan Road. But it’s what’s inside that counts, right?! The coolest thing about this one is that it’s Ireland’s first zero carbon store. They’ve built all these environmentally friendly systems in place to ensure the least impact on the environment. That includes natural ventilation instead of AC, bio-diesel heating and rainwater harvesting. There are other pretty good aspects as well. — Parking: the shop is above a giant carpark, so you’re away from the elements, can always find a space, and can easily wheel your trolley right up to it — Café: there’s a little café if you want a break from all your shopping(not sure who hangs out here to be honest; I’m always pretty delighted to get in and out as soon as poss!) — Range: this is MASSIVE. So they have everything from electronics to clothes to garden furniture. — Signage: I find it really easy to find everything I need here. In the one not five mins away on Prussia St, it’s like a constant scavenger hunt. All in all, big and ugly as it is, I can’t fault it!
