I got a ciabatta with chicken pesto and lettuce. The bread was not very nice at all and the filling just meh. I left 2/​3s of it behind and it was a mini ciabata.
Service was OK, but it wasnt very busy TBH.
Lots more seating upstairs, with a good view of Grafton street. It’s only saving grace I think.
I wont be back.

I work on Grafton street so this place is fast and convenient. I especially like the soup and sandwich special for 5.15 euro. Its cozy and quiet after the lunch rush.

The Loft Café is pretty much a bog-​standard café. The food is fine and it’s simply going to get herds of people there at lunch because of it’s location. On saying that there is nothing remotely special about the food and the seating is a bit crammed in so that it makes me feel claustrophobic.
Prices are a bit higher than they should be for this type of food, but that’s probably again to do with the location. On saying that there are better cafes in the vicinity for comparable prices.

I love a good egg-​mayo sambo, I do. Perhaps this is why I’m partial to The Loft — it’s definitely not gourmet and hasn’t embraced the recent invasion of Italian ingredients into the sambo-​making arena (is it an arena?!) but it does do a good egg-​mayo sandwich.
There’s a place for stuffed olives, roasted red peppers, basil pesto, bruschetta and ciabatta, but sometimes you just want some egg-​mayo or no frills potato salad. If you’re in the mood for a lunch that doesn’t make a fuss, then head to The Loft Café. If you’re lucky you’ll nab a table by the window for a view of shoppers below threading their way up Grafton Street. It hardly needs to be said but this is the centre of the city so it will be jammers at lunchtime.

One of my friends loves this place, I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s because it has a good view of grafton street. But it’s a rip off in my opinion for what you get. Very basic food. Never liked the service there and just all seems very slap-​dash but then again my friend thinks the opposite of me.
